Gone are the days of 4-4-2, only a few teams play it now, teams usually play one behind the striker, similar to how Mutch played behind Campbell

Teams this low in the league seldom do this because the midfield battle is so important. Playing Bellamy, Whitts, Kim or Mutch in a number ten three man midfield is more likely.

I would definitely like to see two up front (campbell and jones) as for fabio, he was brought in to play at left back and so far as played on the other flank, declan john has a great future but shouldn't have to be part of a relegation battle at is age.

Well the way we are going we will go down, so why not give it a go, in simple terms if we play 2 upfront we got twice the chance of scoring, with Medel playing in the middle of the park and Mutch we have strength and creativity , Noone and Zaha bombing down the wings putting in crosses for 2 great headers of the ball makes total sense to me . Im far from being an expert but FFs its worth it being in the position we are in

Medel isn't especially mobile and he doesn't track runners. Mutch is too injury prone doesn't have the best awareness. Good at getting us to be progressive, but that just leaves gaps in the midfield. In our area of the league, against the oppositions we are going to play, you have to win midfield to stand a chance of winning the game.
