MR TAN, THIS MOVE WOULD KEEP US UP

Sun Feb 09, 2014 1:44 pm

I really and truly believe that if VT announced today that the re-brand is reversed immediately, he was wrong to do it, he apologises profusely. We are back in Blue with a Bluebird on our chest, free blue and white scarves against Villa & Hull. A call to arms to the fans, on the front page of all welsh media publications. I truly believe that this would give the team the 20% extra they need to turn poosible draws or defeats into wins. It really is as simple as that. I have always taken a pragmatic view over the re-brand, thankful that we at least have a club to support in exchange for it. However, these are desperate times and the dye is now cast, we can't change the manager or the players now. Yet, we have to do everything and anything to lift the gloom, this is the one thing that would instantly do it. The feelgood factor would return, the passion would return instantly, surely even the most pragmatic amongst us would agree with that.

You're assuming that what's important to you matters to the players.

I don't think they care too much about what colour they play in!

I don't think playing in blue will suddenly make them play any better. If you need that before you can get truly behind the team then maybe it's you that needs a rethink.

I am quite a positive person and its only a game I watch as a pastime, but I agree we need an injection.....

I have no pride in my club anymore, everything we have achieved has been soiled by the fact we are in red with a dragon as my emblem.

The red is not a show stopper for me but it takes the gloss off, but as with any distribution trend if you take the top 20% away you naturally take the bottom 20% so it doesn't hurt anymore, why should I care if we go down ?

Promising to go back to blue would give us a lift and we could get back being Cardiff City rather than this EPL franchise that happens to be in our city.

Totally agree but it is as likely to happen as Bristol city playing in the prem next season.

One question I would like to know the answer too is whether or not the new seats for the stadium have been ordered yet? If they have it really is the beginning of the end as they will be red.

I get what your saying, its true, however just like when a new manager comes in with the same players, a lift can boost morale and performance, a united harmony created by the above suggestion could do that. And for me personally, right now would be a dream come true.

I'm not as naive to think that the players care about the colour of the shirt. However, I do believe that possitive attitude amongst the supporters does have a marked effect on their players. I do believe, that the supporters would regain their passion and positive attitude from such a dramatic u-turn and change. This in turn, would get everyone back as one. Every, succesful team is backed 100% by unified support, it's part of what makes them succesful. We, as a club will never be unified whilst being in red. If you honestly believe, that the whole atmosphere that now surrounds the club is acceptable, then you truly do not have a clue and I cannot believe that you have supported the club for any real length of time. If you are a long time supporter, then you are a very odd specimen.

I suppose in my mind I have Tan as an egotistical, ruthless dictator, money driven etc... I can never see him reversing the decision to rebrand, he has his business strategy and will stick to that. Of course part of me hopes the love of Cardiff and/or football would thaw his obsession with making money. It's nice to have thoughts like this and nothing wrong with it when your a bit fed-up with it all. :ayatollah:

If we returned to BLUE, I honestly believe the passion and atmosphere with our fans would return big time  :ayatollah:

That might be true annis but it would have no impact on the players as they are only interested in making sure they get paid every month.
The days of your Phil dwyers and Jason Perry's who would sweat blood for the shirt have long gone
