it's not that bad ( we are on course )

Can't believe One loss to our rivals and a lot of people lose faith in the team and the manager ,
Yes admittedly we didn't play well , but in fairness swansea are a very good team when they turn it on like they did in that second half and the gap in experience not quality showed through .

When you actually watch the game without the hatred blinkers on we actually played some nice stuff at times and we matched a very good swansea side for 70 minutes .

Our undoing was exactly what it has been all season . Our defence .
Someone with Fabios experience should never ever be allowing someone to turn and run in behind him that easily it was shocking positioning by him but he's a class player who just made a mistake .
Now for Big Ben turner once again IMO the player who cost us big time , the second goal he didn't look around and see dyer coming in behind him even though you can see John telling him , he then lets the cross pass him straight to dyer when he could have and should have cleared it . The third he let bony lose him so easily it was embarrassing . He has to be dropped there is no excuses anymore I'm afraid he is just not premiership quality . His distribution was laughable and he looked disinterested . I really hope that Juan cala is the answer to our problems .
I thought John had a very good game again , how Taylor was playing over him earlier in the season is a mystery .

I agree with a lot of posters that oles team selection was very strange but can only think that Jordan mutch is still carrying a slight niggle in his hamstring , Craig noone ? Maybe he just needed a rest ? Maybe ole didn't fancy him for this game with the way he wanted to set up .

We have options all over the park we are a team still settling into a new manager with a lot of new players BUT we are more than capable of staying up and we WILL stay up .

February is a huge Month and if we got anything at swansea it would have been a bonus .
We are on course , I see it as ole has had 4 winnable games so far and has won 3 of them . West ham - loss , newcastle - win , bolton -win , norwich -win . I realise 2 were in the cup but we still won when expected .
The other games he has managed were very hard and nobody really expected us to get anything from them , including swansea which was just a hope more than anything . Our season depends on the next three home games against villa , hull and Fulham . We needed four wins from the four games we have our first one and from what I've seen I can see us getting all four . This team has a lot more to give and will show it Tuesday night .

We are on course and we WILL stay up !

Keep the faith and get behind the boys Against Aston Villa :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We are on course to go down ffs! Even 4 points from next two games wont get us out of bottom 3

We need to win 7 out of 13 games.
We've won 5 out of 25 all season.
We are going down.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but your post may be too positve for the majority on here who appear to have lost all perspective.

WE ARENT DOWN YET! :ole:

Ca'nt wait for Tuesday. Big test for Ole. Has to decide quickly what his strongest 11 is and stick with it, from here on in. :ayatollah:

I watched the game sober (for once!) and in the house.

Stop defending the indefensible, team was wrong (is OLE just listening to Blelamy?), you cannot play Whitts and Kim in the same side, and never in a side that is struggling!

Mutch should have played, maybe Noone?

Turner needs a few weeks in the futsal league to learn to pass and move - actually that is not a bad idea!

Fabio needs to remember he can't rely on those around him, and John is suffering by having a hoof ball centre half next to him!

Apart from that, yeah I agree with you - NOT!

Its the players that need positivity not the fans - we'll be there in the championship, will they?

All this bull shit being spouted about fans win games, what a complete load of bollox - those days are gone!

Newcastle -away WIN
West ham - home LOSS
Man city - away LOSS
Bolton - away WIN
Man utd - away LOSS
Norwich - home WIN
Swansea - away LOSS

Can anybody tell me where we were expected to pick up any more points than what we have already ?
To me the games that were winnable we won apart from west ham which was his first league game in charge and didn't really know his players .

The cup games are meaningless in comparison to the Premier League. OGS record to date in the Premier League is:

Played 5 Won 1(just) Drawn none and Lost 4. Goals For 4 Goals against 12

Regards John he was at fault for the second goal because he did not track Dyer and he let him get in front of him.

OGS dies have time to put it right but surely he has to get his team selections spot on. Mutch and Noone should have played yesterday instead of Whitts and Kim. Whitts has not played well for a while, he is not contributing going forward or defending.

But look at the teams we played! We could have had sir Alex or Mourinho in charge and still would have lost .
The point I'm making is the games we are expecting to win we are winning

We don't know why mutch and noone were on the bench , maybe they had slight injuries.

When a player comes in from midfield into the left hand side of the 6 yard box it is down to the left hand side c/b to deal with it . John shouts at turner to let him know he is coming in and pass him over but turner doesn't look around once , then because he switched off the cross was allowed to drop right behind him when it would have been cleared if he was aware of what was around him . John did everything right IMO , he can't be expected to chase someone round the field , if a player changes position you pass him on and turner didn't want to know .

Although second favourites for the drop, the best odds I can find from a bookmaker is 4/5 on us avoiding the drop - yes odds on! Which just goes to show that even the bookies who are much shrewder with their money than I am realise that there are still 4 or 5 other teams capable of messing things up and therefore help us to survive.

If we play like yesterday, we'll go down. But I am a true supporter of this club who likes to see things in a positive light. I was dissappointed but yesterday is done and dusted now and we have to look on the bright side. A few more people on here should try it. :ayatollah: :ole: :D

Nonsense. We may be odds on to stay up but only Fulham are odds on to go down. We are 2nd favourites to be relegated whatever way you look at it.

We have picked up 10 points at home in 5 games against teams in bottom 11. We have to repeat that against the other 5 teams, pick up something against Liverpool or Chelsea and hope we can get some points away at teams like West Brom and Sunderland. We are on target for about 33 points but think we need at least 36/37 to stay up.

Sunderland and west ham results I'm afraid are sending us down :sad7: :sad7:

It is that bad I'm afraid! Not because we dont have neither time nor good opportunities to win games, as we have both in our favour. The problem is Ole. The team selection he made yesterday was woeful and I have no confidence in him getting it right for the rest of the season. He needs to "big up" if he wsnts to get things right, but I dont think hes got it in him!
