BLACK SATURDAY

Sun Feb 09, 2014 10:13 am

What a shower of Shite that was. I have been looking forward to Saturday all week, and filled my fridge full of my favourite lager Urquell in anticipation to watch first the rugby, and then my beloved Bluebirds do the double on Gypsea City.

Well as we all know, the rest as they say is history - 2 totally piss poor performances, both tactically inept, both devoid of any flare or passion. By 7.30pm last night my optimism had evaporated and I felt thoroughly depressed - I felt hurt, let down and angry. I will concentrate my thoughts on Cardiff City because this is after all the Cardiff City Forum.

Firstly Ole you got the Team Sheet WRONG, very WRONG. How in God's name can you think it was a stroke of tactical genius to leave out our two best players Mutch & Noone and replace them with Whittingham and Kim. Instead of taking the game to the Jacks with 2 pacey wingers in the form of of Noone and Zaha, we were left with Whittingham and Kim in particular gifting the ball to the Jacks midfield time and time again. Incredibly you failed to acknowledge your error through the entire game and kept both Kim and Whittingham on for the full 90+ painful minutes.

Secondly the way you tried to change the game was equally jaw dropping. We needed to change the dynamic of the game as we were losing. You replaced striker with stiker which did nothing - why not play Kenwynne Jones and Campbell up front. You also replaced full back with full back - why? I know Fabio didn't have a great game but we needed to win this game, not shore up the defence. Finally you brought Mutch who had an immediate impact but you took off our most creative player Zaha in the process.

I was left speechless after the game. We really had the chance to complete the double on the Jacks yesterday and change the fortunes of our season in the process. Instead we got thrashed and remain in big trouble at the foot of the PL. We have the players to turn things around and avoid relegation, it's time to drop those who are not performing and pick those that will win games and get us out of the shit.

No, what upsets people is you making up bullshit rumours and then abusing anyone who disagrees with you. :laughing5:

Yorkshire Blue, I'm not sure if its you but I might have met you once. Did you not move up to Yorkshire and travel down to home games with your good lady? If so, I had the pleasure of meeting you in the Cottage in Cardiff on one occasion.

Anyway, totally agree with your post here and what is making me feel gutted is that with the correct team selection we could have won that game yedterday

Not sure it was me and the Missus in the Cottage. We moved to York over 18 years ago, and don't get back home as often as I would like, although I hope to take my 7 year old grandson to a game before the end of the season. I have however watched every game this season on either Sky or Wiziwig. You sound like a decent bloke and I would happily have a pint with you in the Cottage.
