Is Cardiff city doomed?

Sun Feb 09, 2014 9:46 am

There was talk before tan took over that Cardiff city may cease to exist with the amount of debt it was saddled with. With relegation such a real possibility what would happen to the club in this instance as we have gone from around 30 mil debt to 100 mil. Will the parachute payments keep us secure or is the future of the club doomed?

If Tan sacks OGS we can still stay up.

I hope we do stay up but if we don't, what is the cold hard truth of the situation? I'm asking because I don't know, will the clubs future be secure?

More secure than it would be without Vincent Tan.

Unless you know of a buyer?

We should have gone into administration when we had the chance. Take the hit, clear all our debt, we probably would have been in a much stronger position off the field now.. Maybe even on it as well. No shame in going into admin. Every other club seems to do it and take the easy option.

I don't get how being an extra hundred odd mil in debt is more secure, parachute payments?
