Cardiff City Football Club can today confirm that a loan agreement has been reached with Sheffield Wednesday, taking 20 year old defender Adedeji Oshilaja to Hillsborough until March 12th.
A regular member of Kevin Cooper’s Cardiff City Development Squad, having captained the side this year, Adedeji is a talented young professional, having come through the Academy ranks at the club from the age of sixteen.
This season he has already spent time on loan to Newport County, playing twelve games in League Two, the FA Cup and the JP Trophy. In 2012/13 Adedeji featured in League and FA Cup games for the senior squad.
All at Cardiff City wish Adedeji a successful spell with Sheffield Wednesday in the SkyBet Championship during a busy February and March.

Newport really wanted to keep him, but I suppose the time has come to try him at a higher level.

If he can manage to make an impact during his time there, then it would seem we have a very talented player on our books. He seems to have a lot of potential.

From the little I've seen of him he maybe lacks Declan John's ability on the ball but is much more convincing defender. I'd have him in the team before Declan who I think is a defensive accident waiting to happen. Hope Deji does well at Wednesday and builds on his experience at Newport. If so we could have a good one on our hands

Good management by the club - DV games - Division 2 games - Championship games. I think that he's progressing well.
