After Listening and watching Ole last night on Itv for 30minutes, I was very impressed with Ole's straight talking and passion for the game. I believe he is genuine and what you see and hear is not false at all. I still think he has a lot to learn in management, so did Malky when he arrived, you learn as you go.
Ole also says there are at least 9 teams involved in the relegation battle and he knows its going to be one hell of a battle to stay up,he sounds very confidant. Also he admitted he had many friends warning him off coming here, but Sir Alex Ferguson told him that only he could decide.
He said Tan and Delmet were very successful businessmen and only winners and that was one of the main reasons why he joined plus, they had agreed that only Ole himself would decide on football matters, lets hope so
Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'We're burning to create history by doing derby double'
Friday 7th Feb 2014
On the eve of his first South Wales derby in charge of the Bluebirds, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has played in some of the biggest games, admits this one has him excited
Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits the thought of doing the South Wales derby double tomorrow is burning inside him as the build-up to tomorrow's clash with Swansea City intensifies.
The Norwegian, who played for Manchester United in two of the biggest derbies in British football, against Liverpool and Man City, says he's under no illusions about how big this one is.
He said: “We are burning to create history by doing the double.
“From the people I have met around Cardiff I sense this is more than just a derby.
“It is what everybody is dreaming about – the local boys here all want to beat Swansea and now here we are.
“This means a lot to the fans and players like Craig Bellamy and Declan John but I have told them to relax and focus on their performance.
“Bellamy scored the winner at Liberty a few years ago, so we can create and repeat history at the same time by winning."
Star striker Kenwyne Jones burst onto the Cardiff City scene by scoring on his debut in the win against Norwich.
Having played in the Sunderland v Newcastle derby in the North East, he's looking forward to tasting the derby-day atmosphere in South Wales.
He said: "I have had a wonderful start to life at Cardiff City. Scoring on my debut was great but we were happy to win the game.
“Hopefully we can move from strength to strength now.”
Kenwyne Jones celebrates his debut winner for Cardiff City
“From what I have been told the South Wales derby is the mirror image of North East derby.
“I have been a part of that one and now I can't wait to be part of another big derby.
“We have to remember to play the game and not the occasion."
Despite all the upheaval 40 miles down the M4 this week, Jones insists it's the misfiring Bluebirds who need the points the most at the Liberty tomorrow.
He said: “I believe in our case we need the points more than Swansea.”
"It could be a case of facing the wounded animal against Swansea tomorrow but it could be that they are in disarray.
"We have to try and inflict as much pain on them as we can."
