A forum for all things Cardiff City

1. The tension between Huw and Laudrup has been there for ages
2. Solskjaer has delivered honours, is young, has studied the game and plays a good brand of football
3. They have the wide players and passers to play his brand of football
It doesn't really make sense. Have Tan and Dalman pulled a master stroke by getting Ole in early?
Huw's decision looks worse by the moment. I believe it was time for Laudrup to go as a Cardiff City fan looking in, his record is atrocious post cup final, but to have no manager immediately lined up to take over in such crucial times? Thats insane. To appoint a temporary manager from one of the cliques in the team? Thats also insane.
Seems like Huw's decision has been made in panic, desperation and on a whim. Totally unlike his previous decisions. At least when Tan decided to drop the axe on Malky they had Solskjaer lined up and made sure it happened as he was the number one target. Thats how to do it. If I was a Swansea City fan, I'd be calling for Huw to step down. He's already proven himself to be a bit of a billy bullshitter in the press this week.

And to do it as soon as the transfer window shuts seems strange, although Jenkins doesn't like spending money

beause they didnt really want to sack laundrup, they figured he would be doing better, they didnt predict such poor form etc.
they only knew they would sack him when they sacked him, so solskjaer wasnt available

Could say that about anyone though, it seems like you are suggesting managers that like to play with wingers are few and far between?
I guess Huw tried to get him to walk first a la Tan and Malky and used the transfer window as a tool for that. Why pay millions in compo if you dont have to.
Of the names mentioned Bielsa, Clement and Hoddle all sound like excellent choices however Garry Monk has been groomed for management for years now and after being a senior player under Sousa, Martinez, Rodgers and Laudrup I think he has learned the ropes from some of the most successful managers in Swansea's history. The only questionmark would be his contacts are probably not going to be of use.

Because He has no experience of a premier league relegation dogfight

Huw Spew waited until now because if he had sacked laudrup earlier the new manager may have wanted new players in the transfer window
