" I never thought I would lose Respect for Malky "

Mon Feb 03, 2014 3:44 pm

Between Vincent Tan being a total clown and now Malky, no wonder us fans get so fed up and disillusioned.

After reading this statement from Malky today, Ive actually lost Respect for Malky

Former Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay urges fans to fight for what's right at Bluebirds

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=134991

As everyone knows I am a big Malky fan, but Malky never once backed us when he was here and in fact at meetings I attended I actually had to argue with him over the stripping of our identity.

His reply would be " Just look at Rangers " So I would say " Would you ask Celtic fans to change their Identity ? " And after repeating that at least 3 times, Malky would would reply " You know the answer to that I would not " So I would say " Then Do not ask us to then ."

Malky knew our fans were divided and knew how much it was hurting us and how it had turned fan to actually fight fan, but he would not speak out then, in fact he was nearly the opposite.

I will always be Thankful for Malky taking us up  but he should stay out of the politics of our club, he has now got involved twice on this, when it suits him.

We're all the same Annis. Everyone associated with the modern game is fickle. The fans, the managers, the players, etc.

Thats why Whitts got abuse. To some, his years of service meant nothing.

It's all the ex manager media an tan circus
That's causing fans to take frustrations out on
Players like Whitts who are under preforming
Because of all these disruptions and malky should
know how disruptive this is on the pitch

He has always come across as very fake to me. He likes to say 'the right thing' rather than give any sort of real opinion. It ow suits him to change tactics with the fans.

Working under Tan you're not allowed to say how you feel. Did people really expect him to come out and say Tan's a f*cking idiot? I bet many on here dislike their boss, go and tell them what you think of his ideas

For what Malky done for us taking us to the prem he will always be classed as on of Cardiff City's best managers, but I feel the last month or so of his reign he used us the fans to his benefit but to come out with the statement that he has is a load of BULL. I am starting to lose my respect for him with this now :o

Jack, Ole has told me straight, we should not accept it and he believes we should continue to fight for it and he says he has told Tan he is wrong.

Tell him to tell VT and the press then, same difference.

Paul, I been told by other staff he has told Tan and I believe him and he has also told Tan, the day Tan ever questions him on the football, he will walk.

I will always respect Malky for taking us to the league title.

Couldn't really care about the rest,
Far to much deception on each side.

What happened to Whitts is nothing to do with the"modern game". I remember at at the first few games I attended in the 6o's a left back called Trevor Peck getting dogs abuse from his alleged supporters. I didn't know enough about the game then to be able to judge whether he was any good or not but I remember being stunned by the self defeating viciousness of it. A few years later even the wonderful Don Murray -one of our greatest and most loyal players- got horribly booed after giving a goal away. David Giles - a talented and hardworking young kid making his way in the game- was barracked unmercifully by the "experts" on the Bob Bank. There have been many similar instances since. Nothing has changed. We and every other Club have always had a proportion of vile, cretinous so called "supporters" whose sole purpose in attending matches seems to be to relieve the frustrations of their presumably pathetic lives by abusing one player or another.

tbh..even this new statement is far from straight foward.....and i really dont get this with the trust at all,if there is any group that should be diplomatic re Tan its the trust, this move only widens the divide.
and sorry Jack, but id have said something to any of my bosses if i thought they were so wrong,it didnt have to be aggresive, just something along the lines of i started as a fan, became a player /manager.but in my heart im still a fan,so i understand the resentment over the rebrand........had he said anything along those lines id have had respect for him, his latest remarks are just mischief making.

Fully agree, as I said last night both Tan and Malky are going to play the media whilst they are fighting it out over the compo.

I meant to put in the press, not and. Like the rest, he'll toe the party line in public for now.

Hats off to you for criticising Malky on this, as you mostly come across as though Malky can never do any wrong

He's a hypocrite who came across as the most principled of managers, yet this proves that like all the rest he values only his own personal position above all else, I have no problem with that, but then don't came across in the media as the fans champion and leader, with the fist punching etc. No one is saying that he would have been able to change VTs mind on the rebrand, but he was in a very influential position, yet he seemingly said nothing and knowing how supporters strongly felt opposed to it. Now he accepts involvement with our Trust, he has gone further down in my estimation, I always questioned his ability to manage at this level but always loved his character, you now have to question his character as well

I actually think the trust have been quite clever here.
Im thinking that if they approach tan for a meeting now and get knocked back because of malkys much publicised membership they will hopefully get a raft of new members from the anti tan supporters.
or am i just being cynical as i cannot see any rhyme or reason to offer a life membership to malky

Annis,

There's a thread on the other board suggesting that Tan is going back into the changing room on match days.

Are you aware of any truth in that or is it just scare-mongering?

most could see how malky started to be clever in what he said to the press and to us fans, he knew how to play us to keep us on his side and when truth came out about him and moody how badly they overspent he knew his days was numbered and could play the victim easy, glad the light at the end of the tunnel is shining through now to people who thought malky could do no wrong, ill respect the man for taking us to the prem and to the play off semi and league final but I despised the way he could carefully chose to speak to us fans and press

People speak like you can't question your boss in work. I have many a time, nothing wrong with giving your opinion. Ultimately the boss will decide.

why not? lots of rumours ole wouldn't take the job at first but tan was adamant ole was the right man and said he would do what ever it takes, ole might just be the right guy to educate tan about the british game and their passion for the clubs traditions, could it just be a coincidence since ole took over you see tan wearing blue to away games and we been playing in blue most away games lately ?

Annis if you had a job you absolutely loved but had someone breathing down your neck and if you said the wrong thing youd get sacked I think you'd be quite careful what you said too
