Jenkins wants Laudrup gone but is too tight to pay him off. Jenkins has also publicly slated Laudrup earlier in the season for not playing Bony. He has also gone out this transfer window and bought players in that Laudrup hasn't heard of.
Laudrup meanwhile is in a win win situation. If he keeps them up he will go in the summer and say what a good job he did there. Winning them their first major trophy, top half of the premiership and getting into Europe last year. Also keeping them in the premiership on a low budget this season. If they go down he will say he did well in the first season but Jenkins didn't back him with transfers and bought players he didn't want.
There is also rumours of Jenkins changing the back-room staff and giving Gary Monk a coaching role. If that's the case would Laudrup go down the construction dismissal route?

Swansea are in a lose lose situation.
Obviously, if they sack him at this late stage of the season, the team will have to play a different way for a manager who can't bring in any of his own players.
If Laudrup stay's, they have a manager that does not want to be there.
