Vincent tan " solskjaer is better than malky "

Vincent Tan, the Cardiff City owner, opened old wounds as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer began repaying both his investment and faith.
Solskjaer’s first win as a Premier League manager came courtesy of new arrivals Wilfried Zaha, who created Craig Bellamy’s equaliser, and Kenwyne Jones.
It was enough to lift Cardiff off the foot of the table and offered the first glimmer of light in the Premier League since the tumultuous fallout between Tan and former manager Malky Mackay plunged the Welsh club into crisis.
“I am very happy with Solskjaer. He’s much better than Malky Mackay. It was a very excellent win,” Tan said after the 2-1 victory over Norwich.
The comments may be disingenuous to the man who guided Cardiff into the top flight for the first time in 51 years, but it was clear that a change was needed. The question now is whether or not it was made in time.


Tan has backed Solskjaer, who brought in his seventh new player in a month with Spanish defender Juan Cala, but the loan deal for Manchester United’s Zaha could provide the touch of class that has been missing.
Cardiff were trailing Robert Snodgrass’s early goal and were struggling when Solskjaer brought Zaha off the bench, shortly before half-time, to almost immediate effect. He took the field to a standing ovation, he left an hour later to comparisons with Solskjaer’s former United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He [Zaha] is one of the best I have seen with the ball. He has quick feet like Cristiano, he is brave like Cristiano and wants to go forward. But he is young,” Solskjaer said. “He has got to make a decision about how good does he want to be, and how much does he love this game.”
Zaha has been unable to live up to his £15 million price tag at Old Trafford but has certainly found a manager who knows how to succeed at United. For now, his display helped deliver a priceless win for Cardiff in their fight for survival. “He came on and made an impact, he lifted everyone and he just wants to play football. That’s something he will get loads of. I am really looking forward to working with him,” Solskjaer said.
Norwich left south Wales hugely frustrated having conceded two goals in 73 seconds and then bombarded the Cardiff goal in the second half only to find David Marshall inspired and charmed. Twice they hit the woodwork, Bellamy cleared Gary Hooper’s header off the line and Marshall made a series of fine saves.
“It’s a bad defeat. We’re the only ones who can get ourselves out of the situation but we’ve shown enough here to prove we can,” Chris Hughton, the Norwich manager, said. “Last season we were in a similar position but finished 11th so we have proved we can hold our nerve. But we are hurting from this loss because we felt we warranted a win.”
