What's the reason for this ?
Is it the new stadium?
Where's the crazy atmosphere gone from the days Wed be going mental in the grangeend and singing from the 1st - 90th minute ofthe game?
The only game this season to me where the atmosphere was electric throughout the whole game was man city!
Even the Swansea game atmosphere was Shit!
What do you reckon the main reason is why it has become dire at home games?
The away support has always been top notch but it's awful for home games, and we need to get it back!!

Quite a contradicting statement there.

Not really, there isn't a main cause you can pin point and thus "correct" it - Its just the slow natural transformation of the fan. Which is an effect and not a cause. The cause is a multitude of things.

You get thrown out if you don't sit down.
*The ending of hooliganism is one factor as there is no aggression and heightened hostility in the atmosphere.
*All seater stadiums is another, its pretty hard to get animated when sat in a seat.
*New fans that have come along that think this is just the way it is supposed to be with no experience of good atmospheres.
*Modern football where fans feel detached from the club and players and there is not a feeling of "being innit together" anymore. Highlighted by Bellamy telling the fans to "f**k off you wankers" after scoring a goal for Cardiff.
*To follow on from the last point. I think there is some resentment underlying with the fans these days. The Sky money has rocketed and the clubs now get £60-£70m a year at least yet players wages go up and so does the cost to the community sticking prices up as high as they can get away with.
*Football prices have thus sky rocketed pricing a lot of the "working man" out of the game. I feel the noise is and was generated largely by the "working man". The price attracts too many of the prawn sandwich brigade to use an Irish mans phrase.
It is an emalgamation of different causes. Safe standing, lower ticket prices, designated singing areas and thats a very good start.

I agree with all of that. It all adds up. Personally I blame people within in the club like Wayne Nash for making sure the new stadium was set out differently to Ninian Park, so vocal fans wouldn't be anywhere near the away fans.

Yes, the atmosphere has been in decline for some time, but the last two seasons are notably worse, and they have also been the best two seasons on the pitch for donkeys years.
People feel a passion and identity to a club and that inspires noise. When you rip that up and replace it with something more alien it naturally impacts on the atmosphere.

Dirty sellout franchise plastic glory supporting fans who lap it up because their beloved United and Liverpool went through periods of struggle so they go down the city instead to lap up the glory of going up etc.
Where were all these fans when we were on brink of admin?
Where were all these fans when we were under embargoes and the HMRC wanted to put us through?
Nowhere near our club thats for sure. Sellouts and franchise supporters. The club is dead imo and will be reborn when Tan sells up, we're back in blue and if takes admin then so be it. Rather stand next to 5000 loyal supporters in the conference or even the Welsh league than fans booing legends like Whitts. The sooner the club is rid of this vermin type of fan the better.

There is nothing wrong with that per se, but when they mock me for wearing blue and not embracing the red then something is very very wrong.
Tan values those fans more than me, and as such I don't feel much connection with the club anymore. I'm less inspired to get a hoarse voice over a club I don't recognise and a club who don't value me as a fan.

Decent people though who didn't abuse club legends like Whittingham. Thats the difference. Half of the people in our current season probably dont even know Whitts has over 300 appearances for us.
