...have been successful as managers?
Can't think of many successful managers in world football who were top strikers. Most seem to have been defenders.
Briam Clough maybe?
Any others?

Sir Alex Ferguson was a striker as was Brian Clough, 4 European cups between them.
Kenny Dalgleish wasn't a bad striker either

Bobby Robson was not a striker, he played right half back for Fulham and England.

He was an inside foward
Not quite an out and out striker but more a striker than a winger or midfielder.

He most certainly was not a striker! Watch old videos or read accounts of his career.
Juergen Klinsman was most certainly a striker as was Jupp Heynkess, sorry if the spelling is incorrect.

In how many games? I didn't say he was a full back.
