" UPDATE FROM CARDIFF CITY STADIUM "

Sun Feb 02, 2014 8:44 pm

I attended a travel group meeting on Friday evening.

It was said that due to one steward tried to pull a City fan out by their hair at Man City, the steward and one police officer were subsequently assaulted by City fans in the ensuing struggle between the steward and City fans because of the stewards assault on the fan in full view of CCTV.

As a result the stewarding and policing at Bolton and Man Utd were in part over the top because of reports that were filed after the Man City game.

This season so far there have been 10 City fans arrested.

The itinerary for coaches going to Swansea are :

1pm fans to meet at Cardiff City Stadium.

1.30pm coaches leave Cardiff City Stadium.

Arrive in Swansea RV at 2.30pm.

First stage 8 buses go in,

then 5 Buses at a time will be escorted in.

Swansea City match day head of operations insisted on only 5 coaches going in at a time despite arguments from ourselves that we have taken 10 in at a time previously.

Vince Alm and I gave suggestions on how we could be escorted in quicker and easier and in less time but Swansea City are insistent on doing it their way.

Tottenham away we have an allocation of 2,200.
Upper tier ticket prices are £37 adult, £22 OAP and £20 Juniors.
Lower tier ticket prices are £32 adult, £19 OAP and £17 Juniors.

Everton away we have an allocation of 3,000.
Lower tier ticket prices are £33 adult, £21 OAP and £16-50 Juniors.
Paddock ticket prices are £36 adult, £22.50 OAP and £18 Juniors.
Upper tier ticket prices are £38 adult, £23.75 OAP and £19 Juniors.

Both games qualification criteria will be 8 away games from last season and then 6 away games from this season up to and including Man Utd.

Wigan in the FA Cup at home on Sat Feb 15th will be £15 adult and £5 U16, the club are hopeful they can get Wigan to agree to us selling a family ticket of 2 adults and 2 children for £30.

The first pieces of steel will enter the CCS on Monday Feb 10th for the stadium expansion and from the Liverpool game on March 22nd the roof will be taken off the Ninian Stand.

Following on from the travel group meeting I then attended the persistent standing forum at the stadium and the issue in block 117 is being monitored continuously and the club hope through educating and dialogue between themselves and fans in that block then they can eradicate the issue.

The club is under pressure from the safety advisory group and the council to ensure fans in 117 sit down and if they cannot achieve this then they will be forced eventually to sell these seats on a match by match basis and not have any season ticket holders in the area.

The club stated they do not want to go down this route and are hopeful they can sort it out before such course of action is necessary.

Why can't rails be installed like in the German stadiums so fans can stand in that area, shocking.

Carl,

Do you know what time we'd likely be back at Cardiff City Stadium after the Swansea match?

Just the factor that depends on me being able to go is the reason I ask :ayatollah:

Carl was there anyone you knew that you could see from the photos of anyone standing ? :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:
Anyway what the fook has it got to do with the Council ? And the safety group what actual evidence do they have that standing is dangerous ?
Apart from when someone stands on the seats and gets there foot jammed :laughing6:

Do as your f*cking told. :D

Agree with you but we need to get the rules changed not flaunt the rules and bugger it up for others and our club.

There do seem to be a lot of stewards in the PL that love to abuse their power

How come we only have 2200 tickets for spurs? I thought it had to be 3000 as their ground hold more than 30000?

Let me guess, the Man City steward won't even get a slap on the wrist?
You can argue however much you want about our fans and what should or shouldn't have happened, but surely a steward pulling a fan out by their hair is simply out of order.

I did say this would happen. Its always the fans that get penalised. Even if a steward is being an arse its better to just not rise to them.

Can I move my seat from 117?

I didn't go again on sat.
Nor did a few I know.

We want to stand and sing.

Everyone moaning about the quiet and negative atmosphere
And quite a few 'singers' with STs have stopped going.

If they can move STs en block from sections -
Can the club organise to have a second end somewhere for standing?

The club have got their wish. Game by game the ninian stand atmosphere is getting worse. No atmosphere, no hostility, great place to come for away teams.

Well done CCFC u have got what you wanted
