We sacked his agent Tutumulu from the club after his interfering.Laudrup's contacts went out the door the same time. He's gone in the summer anyway and I don't think he cares who the board brings in tbh.

regardless of that board members should not be bringing in players behind managers backs.
it always amazes me that chairmen think they are better judges of players than their managers. you hear now that levy is upset with sherwood because he offered him a few players on deadline day and the manager did not want them.
as far as i am concerned the manager picks the player he wants and the chairman or director of football try to bring them in.
after all its the manager who gets the sack based on the results not the interfering chairman or director of football who have brought players to the club the manager dident want.

I thought there was a big clause in Laudrups contract that said he could leave if 10 million was paid to jacks in compo with the same being paid to Laudrup if he was sacked?

It's £10m if someone comes in for him but not if sacked. It would be the remaining value of his contract.
Although I'd imagine he'd be put on gardening leave and paid his salary until someone took him on if it was to come to that (which I'm beginning to think it will).

What will happen if he goes? Huw Jenkins always seems set to appoint Graeme Jones everytime there is a vacancy but then goes for someone completely different. If there is a divide in the squad then the new manager has a big job to do. It is difficult to unite warring factions but equally getting rid of 4 or 5 players on big wages (I assume chico, canas, amat, pozeulo and michu would want to leave) and bringing in equal or better quality cant be easy and would be costly to a prudent club.

I agree with you. Before Laudrup came along it happened when Sousa was here too.If a manager doesn't have the necessary contacts in the game and we need a player then at our club the board step in.Right or wrong it happens here.

If there is a divide in the squad now then maybe it is a good idea for him to go now as someone new coming in may be able to unite them for the run in?
I don't see anything happening before the derby (unless ML walks), but a defeat there and his position may become untenable.

Flores seems to be the trouble maker from an outside view. All depends on how big an influence he has with the others. The likes of rangel seem to be popular in all camps.
The next managerial appointment is a massive one for jacks. Martinez was superb and without him you'd probably be lower leagues. Sousa sorted defence out but stifled attack and dare I say it Swansea were lucky that Leicester came in for him as otherwise Rodgers would not have arrived. I always thought Rodgers was a lucky manager but his turning around of Liverpool proves me wrong. Laudrup did well last season using good contacts to bring in extra quality but this season apart from bony his signings have been poor.
Hopefully your next manager can make me a happy boy and take you back down the leagues.

The next appointment is always the most important one I guess.
As for this years signings I would have to disagree. Amat and Pozuelo are excellent additions and imho will go a very long way in the game (I'd have Amat ahead of Chico personally). Shelvey has been hot and cold but gives us that extra dimension in midfield when he's on his game. Jury is out on Canas for me.

do you think all the signings this window were done by the board and not laudrup.
