Whittingham boos?

Sun Feb 02, 2014 12:59 am

Didn't hear any booing - what part of the ground booed?

I personally thought the applause was for our exciting new signing making his debut? :?

Having thought a bit more about it, is Bellamy wrong to generalise Cardiff fans in the way he did, about the alleged actions of a small group of supporters?

I generally heard a lot of booing chucks when Whitts was subbed

No. According to stats from another thread we've got 12,000 new fans (plastics) since 2007 which explains everything. Almost half of our fan base per stadium capacity is made up of plastics. Shocking.

A small part of the Ninian Stand in front of me cheered when he was subsituted and threw a load of abuse at him.

Fair enough - like I said, I didn't hear any personally, not saying that it didn't happen though.

Whoever booed him off/mocked him is a disgrace to this football club & its fanbase.

It was mostly pro reds booing. I just think they were copying Tan, their idol.

I saw about a dozen people burn a blue shirt before my very eyes before heiling Emperor Tan, pulling their trousers up and proceeding to boo Whittingham before chanting "Alisher Apsalyamov in!".

Same. I saw some fans even walk to the steps at the side of the seats and lay out red mats with Vincent Tan's face on and start praying towards him. After this they started booing so I can only guess its part of the pro red ritual.

It's terrible there at the moment. One guy near me stood up to applaud Whittingham and the reds jumped him, pulled his blue shirt off and forced a redone on him before strangling him with one of Tan's free red scarfs.

I saw a similar thing on Cowbridge road right before the game, a firm of pro reds, all smug faced with rosey cheeks, slacks pulled up, practicing their boo'ing outside Tesco. so glad I don't go anymore

That sounds awful. I saw one pro red execute another fan who was wearing all blue just after half time. He pulled up another mans trousers up around his neck and strangled him with his belt. Apparently, among the pro red ultras, this method of execution is called the 'rebrand' in respect of Vincent Tan, as it makes the persons face go red during strangulation.

I was driving my blue car back from a game one week when I had to stop at some traffic lights on Clare Road.

Suddenly, a bunch of reds smoking weed stormed out of the Neville with a bucket of red paint and tried to throw it over my Car. Luckily though there was a green man on the crossing so they were scared to cross over to my car because their red leader wasn't showing.

Re: Whittingham boos?

There were dicks waving bye to him as if an opposition player had been sent off. Family stand the dads do it the kids copy. Booing when the free kick went over the stand......Loads did it......As if it is a pantomime

I suggest all those who never heard were probably doing it and now are embarrassed.

This isn't an Isolated incident though.. It always happens with our fans. Ironic boos and applause when someone not having a particularly good game goes off

Well that's wrong, as I never heard and I certainly never did it.

Re: Whittingham boos?

I didn't pick up on any booing but the initial applause and cheers were directed at showing pleasure whitts was being subbed, which then turned into some like me applauding whitts off as I would any City player going off. The cheers and applause for zaha kicked in as he ran on.

Well done to all those who effectively publicly slagged off one of the best servants to Cardiff City over recent seasons.

No, it wasn't as if the whole crowd booed. :laughing6:

Booed when he skied the free kick.

Jeering when his number went up.

large parts of the canton especially the grandstand side.

When he skied the free kick, I heard groans & moans, rather than booing. Anyone booing Whittingham is a disgrace, especially as they most probably cheered Ramsey a few months ago.

Best thing that happend all game. He's been shit for months. Hopefully he won't start another game now.

Definite booing and jeering in the canton can't comment on your area but defo the whole ground moaning at him and on his case when he was giving the ball away. Canton grandstand side defo the worse that's where Bellamy ran to give them the finger.

Im in the canton on the ninian stand side, the cheers were all around me when the board went up, I don't agree that it was a small section of supporters, it was too loud for that, nor do I think the cheers were for our loan signing Zaha, that happened after Whitts left the pitch. Still disgusted with it today. Has taken the shine completely off yesterdays result.

It was all the pro reds Polo. I even saw a group of them being mean to a puppy outside the stadium because it had a blue collar. Pro reds are savages and they must be stopped.

Sat in 105, it was clear as daylight where I was.

It was embarrassing and shows our idiotic some of our supporters are.

One of the most loyal servants who could of went to the prem 6 times.
