A forum for all things Cardiff City

I have always rated Zaha and today I thought that he showed the class that he has got. He is a quality player with the tricks and pace to beat any defence. What surprised me was the vision he had to put Bellamy through on a couple of occasions.
Along with Kenwyne & Fabio I thought he had a very good first showing for City. Onwards and upwards

Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised on loan Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha after he helped the Premier League strugglers jump off the foot of the table with a comeback victory over Norwich City.
Craig Bellamy and new signing Kenwyne Jones scored the goals that cancelled out Robert Snodgrass’ early opener as they rose above Fulham into 19th, in turn dragging Norwich closer to the relegation zone.
Speaking after the game, Solskjaer was full of praise for substitute Zaha after providing the assist for Bellamy’s second half goal, the Metro reports.
“Zaha came on and made the difference,” said Solskjaer.
“He has pace, power and technique. We just have to teach him defending.”
The appearance was only Zaha’s third in the Premier League all season, having struggled to get a look in under David Moyes at Old Trafford.
Zaha could make his first Premier League start of the season next weekend as Cardiff take on major rivals Swansea in the South Wales derby, a match neither team can afford to lose, particularly after Swansea’s loss to West Ham United on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'Wilfried Zaha can be the next Cristiano Ronaldo'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that Wilfried Zaha has the qualities to become a "proper player" like Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Crystal Palace youngster joined Cardiff City on loan on transfer deadline day after an unhappy spell at Manchester United.
He made an immediate impact on his debut for the Bluebirds, helping his new side to a crucial win against Norwich City, and Solskjaer says that he sees similarities between Zaha and the Real Madrid forward.
"He is one of the best I have seen with the ball. He has quick feet and is brave like Cristiano and wants to go forward," Solskjaer is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"But he has got to make a decision about how good does he want to be and how much does he love this game. He can grow up to become a proper player like Ronaldo if he wants.
"I have never seen anyone work as hard as Ronaldo. Before training, after training, he was an exceptionally dedicated man and proved to everyone what dedication gets you."
Zaha joined United for £15m last January.
