If it doesn't work plan B is bring on Jones, Daehli and Whitts and just launch balls in and hope he can do something.

Putting Turner in the team just leaves us exposed to any counter attack as he doesn't have the pace. Mutch and Eikrem can both pass fine and control play and Bellamy can drift and do his thing in a free role off Campbell and Zaha and Noone can go either wide or cut in etc. Bellamy on the edge of the box to finish. Mutch can be a box to box which we need, reminds me of Yaya at times with his carrying of the ball. Modern day ball winners need to do more than just tackle which is why I don't think Medel should be there. He can win the ball but then its a sideways or backwards pass or long ball to nothing.

In this system our entire back line has the pace to cope on the counter. Fabio, Caulker and Medel as well as John all have the speed to cope and avoid getting overrun on the break. Turner is a massive liability and Medel does the job there for Chile and on corners Mutch has height and can get back and mark the opponents taller players.

Fair play I quite like that lineup! I would also like to see medel partner caulker in defence!

Also in regards to Medel, he seems to leave passes short lately giving the ball away a fair bit, imagine if he was doing that from a centre half position *shudders*

I think both turner and hudson have been at fault for giving goals away! I would like to give medel ago in defence but he was also at fault for standing off Ashley cole against man utd! Gutted we didn't sign another centre back!

But we need to get behind the team now! Looking forward to tomorrow!

No he's too short and he's not that quick either so it would be a terrible decision

You think the only viable option is creating a new defensive partnership using someone who naturally plays in midfield going into the most important month of fixtures in our clubs history??

To risky for me, stick with Turner, hopefully a new full back playing next to him will help with his distribution and keep our fingers crossed.

I was up for using Medel myself after watching the Chile v England game but its a bit late in the season to try out a risky strategy, especially after witnessing Medels recent iffy form
