The club, tight again

Fri Jan 31, 2014 3:11 pm

Now... I can't attend tomorrow due to 'prior commitments'. I asked the club can we sell our season tickets seats back to the club. They said yes, but we'll give you 50% of the face value "IF THEY SELL". They could easily just not tell us.

Bare in mind these season tickets are in the grandstand and cost well over 800 quid for 2 :( At times you would think the fans are trying to rob them how we are treated.

Also, £5 delivery for stuff from the store whatever the order.......

No, an overdraft is to keep you going when you're struggling for money to live, not to purchase a season ticket which is a luxury and not a necessity. No wonder this country is in a frigging mess financially when theres people like this living on credit. If you aint got it, don't buy it. Simple.

Re: The club, tight again

you're moaning about not affording to sit in the grandstand when you could buy tickets for far less in other areas?

Re: The club, tight again

It is not about affording the season tickets, it is about the club giving me half the money back for tickets they know for a fact I've bought. Cheap as shit.

When you signed up and purchased the tickets you agreed to the terms and conditions set. Its your own fault, not theirs.

Second hand lol. I have a card so no actual ticket was issued.

All they have to do is credit me with the amount of the tickets and make them available online. It's not hard. Instead they are trying to make money off me when I have already bought a season ticket.

Basic customer service. It is like buying something off Amazon, sending it back and getting 50% back. I bought a season ticket in good faith, when they show none.

£800 for 2?? :?

There's people in the Ninian Stand (centre) that pay around that figure, fella ;)

On a serious note, I was told once during the Ridsdale fiasco (when people were demanding their money back) that season ticket holders had "entered a binding agreement" with the club, so any effort to return tickets would need to be via mutual agreement...

As Cardiff City FC is now run as a "total business" rather than a community-based operation, it is unfortunately how things are and, unless you can find a buyer elsewhere, it is probably (sadly for you and others in the same position) as good as it will get

One possible issue with selling to "someone else" would be whether they can 'renew' for NEXT season, if that is what they want to do. I guess buying through the club is perhaps the best option for them, if that is the case :thumbright:

Re: The club, tight again

The club are not stupid, or a charity, they would have people handing their tickets back left, right and centre if they could get a full refund for certain games.

You would have people buyign ST's, using them for the big clubs, and the Jacks, and then selling them back to the club for games they couldnt be arsed to go to.

Defeats the object of buying a ST.

Wrong. In that instance you're talking about a product, not a service over a set period. Thats why they give you a 100% refund. A more sensible comparison is to compare it to Netflix or something - if you sign up for 1 month and then decide you don't want it they won't refund you at all until your 1 month contract is up.

At the end of the day Willy Plonka, you signed up to the terms and its your own fault.
