Lot of bitterness on here because the perception is that he dumped us when he left for Celtic at a time when we really could have done with getting a decent fee for him (which we would have done if he had gone to an English club). I really cannot blame the fans hostility towards him, even though our results were often better with him in the team. IMO it would be a backwards step for us and him if he returned and Palace is going to be about his level.
