Question about A.Corn

Thu Jan 30, 2014 10:08 pm

Just a quick question about his wages. It has been frequently said on this forum that he is on 45k a week, but where have people got this information from? Their has been no-official statement from CCFC OR A. Corns reps, so my only guess to how people came up with this figure is Football Manager 14. At the start of a new CCFC career it says that the Dane is on a 45k per week deal (24k after tax). If I have just said a load of bollox please could someone tell me a reputable source thanks

Hmmmm. I find it hard to believe that any negotiator would offer a youngster for the future 45k per week when he was on less than 10k per week for Kobenhagen. It couldn't have been hard persuading an up and coming player to leave the Danish League for the best league in the world could it? I don't know but something just doesn't quite add up...

Green arrow is correct, the daily mail had a full page run down of not just Cornelius but brayford and odenwingie as well, usually paper talk is just that but this paper was almost bang on throughout the summer on our transfer activity.

Hm, can you remember how much they said Odemwingie was on? Because surely 45/50k must be what our highest paid player is on?

They didn't mention Odemwingie. But Cornelius on 45k, Caulker and Medel on 35k each. But thinking about it, this is also the paper the once ran a front page headline of " Gordon Brown wants too eat your children"! So I guess the truth is out there somewhere, but not in the Daily Mail! :laughing6:

See this is something people need to look at properly, surely a future talent isn't going to be our highest payed player right? I hope one day the truth comes out but for now I refuse to believe this. Also what is scary is why didn't anyone stop it if true???

spin this around...YOUR his agent.........2 clubs are willing to pay a transfer fee of 7 to 8 mill for your client, so they rate him big time, you also know some of the wages kicking around in the prem........Campbell, PO for example.. how much do you ask for.? i think if Acorn had turned out to be what it said on the tin..45k is about right, it only became absurd when you get the tin opener into action

a fact i know is Cornelius doubled his wage and no more than this. I have used the forum for
2 week and not noticed you think £45k. He discussed it when training with Denmark mates.
Mackay made mistakes but nothing so large as that
