Top player, but turned down Norwich in the summer as he rightly thought he could do better.
The move to Athletico may have not worked out but, then again, it would be hard for most defenders to break into that team at this point.
Either way, I'd be very surprised if he agreed to join a club three points off safety in the Premier League going into February. Even if he did, I can guarantee that there would be a release clause in his contract should the club be relegated. He wouldn't be here for long.

Scratch that - it's impossible, anyway.
FIFA regulations mean he is unable to play for a third team in one season.

According to 'Sport Witness' Cardiff are awaiting FIFA clarification on the matter of him playing for a third club.
There are possible conflicts with the 3 team rule and European Law governing the links between freedom of movement and employment.( see articles 39EC, 40 b EC and 43EC in FIFA 2 Wikipedia ).

Be great signing if ole can get around the 3club ruling some how. He needs game time aswell to get to the World Cup with Belgium so if he was impressing week in week out in the premier league then that should surely be appealing to him
