Cardiff stopper joins for the remainder of the campaign.
City have completed the loan signing of Cardiff City goalkeeper Simon Moore for the remainder of the campaign.
The 23-year-old arrives in time to join the squad ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League One clash with Carlisle United at Ashton Gate (3pm).
Sandown-born Moore was a star of Brentford’s team that reached the play-off final last term, earning him a free transfer to Cardiff on a four-year deal.
The 6ft 3in custodian, a Southampton trainee, spent much of his early career with Brading Town on the Isle of Wight.
Moore has also made five appearances for the Isle of Wight national team.

New Bristol City goalkeeper Simon Moore admitted he was a "little bit rusty" after making his debut in Saturday's 2-1 home win over fellow League One strugglers Carlisle United.
Since earning a move from Brentford to Premier League newcomers Cardiff City last summer, the 23-year-old stopper has spent much of his time kicking his heels on the touchline, unable to displace the in-form David Marshall.
He was delighted to join up with City on Thursday and then make his first senior appearance since turning out for Brentford in the League One play-off final at Wembley in May last year.
But his debut was a bitter-sweet affair and, although City came back to claim an important victory, Moore was unhappy to be beaten at his near post by Brad Potts’ 36th minute free kick.
“I’m a bit rusty after not playing league football for six or seven months,” conceded Moore. “It was frustrating to see it go in, because I got a strong hand on it.
“I think I could have done a little bit better, but it has gone through the wall and I’ve reacted a little bit late. That is probably down to not playing for such a long time.
“As soon as you let a goal in, you have to forget about it, move on and go for the three points. Fortunately, that is what the boys did.”
Victory lifted City out of the bottom four and Moore believes the first three-point haul of 2014 will provide his new teammates with a platform from which they can go onto beat Coventry at Ashton Gate on Tuesday.
