A genuine question

Wed Jan 29, 2014 9:42 pm

Its been said that A.C was on 45k a week?
If true and had a 5 year contract, are u still going to pay some off his wages in order for Copenhagen to take him back?
No way can they afford to pay that amount on wages.

Re: A genuine question

Wed Jan 29, 2014 9:45 pm

No, they are apparently doubling his wages from the time he was there though.

Re: A genuine question

Wed Jan 29, 2014 9:45 pm

think we pay 70% of his wages off THIS season, and he goes back to Copenhagen for £3-5m, where he will get a contract of 6k a week

that's what i've read, and if it's true thats £1.6m pay off on wages, a loss of about £4.5m from the original £7.5m fee, and off course what we've already payed him! loss of £7m for no goals

Re: A genuine question

Wed Jan 29, 2014 9:52 pm

By right he could say he wants his ful contract payed up,
Its a huge come down fro 45k to 6 over 5 years.
When u signed him the danish lads on ps said they were amazed and that he only had half a season were he was any good,.
Massive f**k up by mm and the scouts and in fairness to tan I would f*cking kick off.

No he can't as he's not having his contract terminated he's just being sold. We're paying 70% of this year just as an incentive to get rid.

Cornelius will receive 70% of his wages for this season which were £45k a week, cardiff city will honour his signing on fee of £1.5 million and he will go back to Copenhagen on £12k a week which is double that of what he was on last season, Copenhagen will also pay us (paper work wise) £3 million for his transfer leaving us a £4.5 million balance on the original transfer fee of £7.5 million. See what happens when you come on here to debate football, you get non abusive replies.

So you will honour his wages for one season/year of his contract = £2,340,000 - 30% = £1,636,000 yeah?
Signing on fee of £1.6m yeah?
Agents fee of 800k yeah?
And sign him for 7.5m and sell him back for 3m yeah?

£9m almost including his medical fees etc thrown down the pan! Dear god! That is absolutely horrendous! And I'm not winding you up!

I agree Cal. But it's awful. We will never know who was at fault for this. Tan blames Malky and Moody etc? I just don't get that. To me the blame lies with Tan. Simply because he doesn't understand football and it's finances. It's not a Mcdonalds franchise where things take care of themselves. It's new ground to him and he ain't doing very well! :?

i don't know who to blame! If tan had asked more questions about transfer targets he would have been accused of interfering with football matters, he obviously put his trust in malky who put his trust in moody, the rest is history as they say.

No, Tan is not mad! But he is on new ground. He doesn't understand football, so yeah I guess it was Malky and Moody who got this badly wrong as they should have known the players worth. As manager, Malky is essentially the custodian of CCFC.

Are you saying Vincent Tan should be our chief scout

How do you know he didn't ask questions?

Why can't people just accept the signing of players is down to the manager and his scouts.

Its a huge come down fro 45k to 6 over 5 years.
When u signed him the danish lads on ps said they were amazed and that he only had half a season were he was any good,.
Massive f**k up by mm and the scouts and in fairness to tan I would f*cking kick off.

And I'm not winding you up!

it's a right cock up! but it's either this or lose another £10m over his 5 year contract!

MM and Moody both saw he had potential, and we all thought the same, but he's simply flopped! the £8m fee and 45k wages is absurd, so either MM and Moody fucked up there, or he just has an exceptional agent  and in regards to Tan, he should of asked more questions before allowing a spend on him!

you think the United board questioned fergie on every player?........THAT is what you pay managers for surely , technical expertise..and if tan had asked malky....is he fast, can he score,,whats his touch like,,is he good in the air...WHAT exactly do you think the replies would have been?
and..........of course this questionaire would be leaked to the press..and Tan would take more ridicule..........

Malky was no Fergie! he's a good manager, but when thrown £40m to someone inexperienced i would want to know what we were signing... all the ridicule of Tan came over sacking moody, and all of that could of been avoided if more questions were asked about who we were signing! after Velikonja you'd think he would of started learning!

Are you saying Vincent Tan should be our chief scout

How do you know he didn't ask questions?

Why can't people just accept the signing of players is down to the manager and his scouts.

have i said he's the scout, that's Moody's job, and quite rightly got sacked! but even if you have someone doing a job and you've given him money, wouldn't you still want to know what it's being spent on?

So what's the point in hiring staff if you don't trust there decisions?

it's not about trusting the staff, it's wanting to know where your money is going, like any person would!

course he needs involvement, he might be an idiot but he's the man with the money and has the right to ask questions, he wants to know what its being spent on!

Well he asks his manager an chief scout and trusts there judgement in doing there job.

I don't understand how you can't accept it's there fault?
