Managers make mistakes with signings all the time. Southampton have wasted tens of millions and Fergie had some whoppers.

But for every Cornelius there's a Caulker and Medel, or Mutch and Noone.

The problem for Malky was that he didn't get anyone else in who could score goals regularly. When he tried, he bought Odemwingie who has been awful.

Clearly we overspent on the boy, but I think we still should have loaned him out til the end of the season and gave him a chance to come good.

Sod's law means we'll sell him at a loss, and he'll be a Champions' League player in 5 years' time ;)

Good move by Cardiff ,cut our losses. We can't carry on paying a player who doesn't play 45 grand a week.

I agree. By letting him go now, it's 7 or 8m down the pan. A lot of money, but could have been as much as 20m! But I will say you've also been very lucky! The boy has agreed to a 39k a week drop in wages! He could have sat on that, and who could blame him?

correct he could have sat on his arse for the remainder of his contract,a lot of players do just that so for me that tells me a lot about the lad, none of this was his fault he just wasn't ready for the jump in class.Maybe he is one for the future who knows but one thing i will say is good luck to him.

After his second touch against Man City in the first game, I thought ho looked poor.. However I still don't think Cornelius was given a chance & who knows, He could re emerge into a lethal striker. Did Cornelius suffer the chop for being a Malky signing? Hiow bad was he in training to be sold this quick?
