He's not good enough for the premiership, so was happy to see him gone, yes. having a poor player doesn't give us a reason to keep another player that's not good enough.

Which I stand by, if you can use a small run of games and a few goals to back up your claim, I can use 2 seasons of dross where he showed that he wasn't good enough for a promotion chasing side. If he was, he would have featured more.. Especially as we were woefully short up front at times last season.

The boy always tried very hard and he was improving during his spell with us, he was certainly a threat on goal and a very good header of the ball.

I think he is linking up with a very good striker who knows where the goal is (Rhodes), Gestede is easing the pressure off him and their working well according to Blackburn fans.

its hard to not comment without bringing Malky into it.............i dont thing he had a clue how to use strikers, how to convert defence into attack,or what sort of striker / strikers were required for different games.
none of our strikers has had a fair crack, Gestede isnt prem class,but is benefiting from playing along side Rhodes i dont think you can fairly judge how he is playing up there to how he played for us for this reason.
he may get better..may not..but he isnt close enough at mo to keep..good luck to him..he always tried for us.

Id take Rudy over Cornelius anyday, however neither are really good enough. Lets hope Jones can do the job properly
