Not exactly a reliable source but Ladbrokes News reckon that OGS is in for McCormack to compete with West Hams bid !
Says it all if that is the case. Shows you how Cardiff have a habit of 'giving away' players at basement prices only to see the players value increase by millions.
Would you like to see him back at Cardiff? Championships top scorer.

Yeah with 3 up top he would make a decent impact sub on the left side of attack I think he's on good form and a good runner with the ball. I think he could step his game up

I wouldn't mind as long as we only paid the £300,000 we sold him for. There is a reason he hasn't played in the Premier League before now - he isn't quite good enough!

Not sure if there is any substance to this, but if OGS is wanting Ross in his squad then that would be good enough for me.
The following records and stats show that Ross is a confidence player. He goes through a great run of form lasting between 8 games to a season long. Out of the last 6 seasons he has had 3 good seasons, unfortunately he also has had 3 poor seasons, possibly down to injury, playing out of position or confidence issues.
IF he is a confidence player, then OGS is the sort of manager to get the best out of him. I wouldn't expect to see much of him for the first few games as the transition to a new club, new league and pressure of expectation would affect his confidence.
IF OGS could deal with Ross' mental game and play him in a position that favours Ross, then in the last 12-14 games Ross could potentially hit a purple patch and score or assist on quite a few goals.
If it's a decision of Ross or no new player, then personally I would go for Ross.
In our 08/09 season (the fateful Preston season) he scored 21, assists 4 in 38 games for a ratio of a goal every 131 minutes.
09/10 DJ messed around with his position he scored 4, assists 3 in 34 games, ratio goal every 514 minutes.
10/11 season didn't play much only 763 minutes in total, scored his only 2 gaols in the last 2 games of the season, ratio 382 minutes
11/12 scored 8 goals in his first 8 games, 18 goals in total, 6 assists in 45 games, ratio 196 minutes per goal.
Interestingly he scored 3 goals in his last 15 games that season.
12/13 scored 5 goals, 13 assists in 32 games, ratio 443 minutes per goal
13/14 to date scored 17 league goals, 5 assists in 26 games, ratio 137 minutes
this includes the purple patch of 13 goals in 11 games

Can you give us the average from the 6 seasons ?.

We had Chops, Bellers and Bothroyd at the time and Ross was being a sulk.
F*ck him.

Should have cashed in on him and Ledley when we had the chance, remember receiving ridiculous offers for them at one point but they both ended up going for peanuts. Didn't hull offer something like £5m the year before we let him go for £300k?

Easy to say in hindsight. We were in the play-offs and going for promotion and they were two of our star players.
Had we sold either one of them there would have been holy hell to play.

20% on any future sell on fee when he moves from leeds we got in the deal when he moved so i doubt we will be buying him back.

Put it this way, Footballers shouldn't be doing what he was. The guy who told me hates football, he just said a Scottish guy who plays for Leeds and used to play for Cardiff.

Yes they played it on the stag doo but mcCormack had a bad attitude

In the 08/09 season when Ross scored 23 goals (all comps)10 of them were from penalties as we were a bit more fortunate with the officials that season (not 1 penalty yet this season) and 3 were from free kicks. Therefore, he only scored 8 from open play in 44 matches or 1 for every 5.5 matches.

Should never have been sold in the first place, DJ again, falls out remember Hull offered a few million for him but dick head sells him for 300,000 to Leeds

He would score more than campbell and has a better shot and finish.
I was gutted when he left knew his potential
