How many more signings this Transfer Window?

Mon Jan 27, 2014 6:48 am

Let's assume the deals for Zaha, Jones and Fabio are now complete. This in total makes six signings in this transfer window.
However, due to the excellent deals OGS has negotiated we appear to have paid very little money to complete these deals and early in the transfer window. Also, in his own words, three of these signings are for the future.

I, for one therefore, would not be surprised if we have got a surprise or two still to come with four days of the transfer window left.
Exciting and interesting times at the City.

Solskjaer wouldnt have negotiated the deals surely? He just has a list he hands to the money men and they work with the list to see if they can make them happen.

I think a lot coming in January time is a bad thing. It must be very unsettling for the squad to have half a team trafted in halfway through the season. 6 is more than enough.

I agree with your overall sentiments that it is not generally a good idea to overall a squad to any significant extent halfway through a season. However, he does seem to have added a lot of quality in this window for very little money and that has to be good doesn't it?

Time will tell I guess.

People were saying cornelius and odemwingie were quality signings and now they are claimed as the worst signings in recent times. The jury is out on every single one of his signings, none of them have proved thier quality at the highest level what so ever have they.

Odemwingie never got a chance, as he has been moved on very quickly. As for Cornelius I am still hopeful he will prove a good signing in time as still very young.
Also, if we were signing players who had proved their quality at the highest level we would have been paying a hell of a lot more. The vast majority of these signings are young with huge potential. I like that.
