Zaha Deal NEARLY Scuppered?

Sun Jan 26, 2014 11:23 pm

Palace still sniffing around. Only mentions a six figure loan fee, thought it was over 7 figures.

Eh? You thought it would cost £10m at least to loan him for 6 months?

Six figure doesn't mean six zeros... that would mean 100,000

We've been linked with 1,500,000 as the OP says, 7 figure.

He said over 7 figures which would imply he means a minimum of 8. Therefore on this occasion Roathie is correct as 8 figures would be £10m or more.

Also report United tried to use Zaha as a makeweight for a Luke Shaw bid...

He's ours now anyway (til may at least)

I like the holloway article in the same link. Hopefully Ole can tap into the ability he clearly has that led man to pay £15m for him. Looking forward to seeing him play :ayatollah:

No I meant my, "over 7 figures" statement to mean over £1,000,000 but understand that I should have said, "a seven figure sum."

I have probably been the most pro "he won't sign" person on this forum.

He will sign and will be at old Trafford on tues (watching though)

I think those of us not trying to be as pedantic as possible knew what you meant.

You've given up on your "he won't sign" stance then AJ? Suppose I'd better start believing he arriving then. :D

You clearly don't understand the thread then and why he thought the deal was in trouble.

Either way somebody needed to point out to him that 7 figures can be anything between a mill and just under 10 mill.

Clearly not as he clarified above what he meant and that didn't mean 10mill

So either way my response was apt and in no way pedantic.

If he understood the concept of 7 figures then the thread would be alive now would it.

You assume it was your post I was referring to?

I assume Moyes is still heavily against Zaha going back to London otherwise you'd think, given the choice, Zaha would have gone back to Palace.

Please ignore him on this thread Carpe. I only put it up to try and get the three Jack threads off the top of the board (2 x Ince & Liberty). He is thriving off the replies and keeping them going. Why do people feed him.

Point taken, but it wasn't just him. I'm gone
