Strange one ince to jacks on loan??

Sun Jan 26, 2014 10:10 pm

Is it just me or am I missing something. He's out of contract end of the season and instead of getting a small fee they are loaning him out? What's that all about? Sorry if I sound stupid  I just don't get it

Swansea wanted a loan deal with first refusal on the permanent signing at end of the season to see if he fits in with the Swansea style. Blackpool refused initially but have since agreed.

Swansea will pay some money up front for the loan deal and then depending on when the permanent transfer goes through they will receive the rest of the agreed amount or the compensation value.

If he went to Monaco they would have received next to nothing a la Ledley and Celtic so Blackpool have been bent over a table by Huw to make this happen. Hes essentially getting a try before you buy.

Great signing for the Jacks if true, although it's all over twatter at the moment that West Ham and Fulham are also in for him.

Sounds sensible then. If they stay up they will pay the rest, if they dont they will snare him at a fraction of the price Malky was going to shell out

He didn't seem too keen on him in fairness when asked in an interview. I think he said he's a talent from what i recall. Seems more of a Jenkins signing. I would love to show you the link but I really can't be bothered at this time.

You're right. Makes far more sense to pay say £8m for a player who you're stuck with for three or four years on £45k a week.........don't understand Huw's thinking at all

Everton are in for him now, hardly surprising after Oviedo's horrific injury yesterday.
I believe he was linked there before?

Can someone explain to me how you would get first refusal on a player that would be out of contract?

Any footballer is a talent really, you would have to watch the clip as that's all he had to say. He can't really go responding to a question on what he thinks of Ince by saying he's not what Swansea want because he's one of England's darlings.

£1m loan fee for Ince

£1.5m loan fee for Zaha

Both have "baggage". Both have huge ego's.

It'll be interesting to see how they both do.

The £1m for Ince works as part payment for the final fee so not "dead money" as it were

Only if he decides to sign on with you which is by no means guaranteed, especially if he does well or if you get relegated

He would have already signed a pre commitment contract prior to a loan to a permanent view in this scenario, no doubt about that.

The choice is down to us.

but would he sign commitment to you if 1, doesnt know manager next season, 2,as you got possibility of being relegated? seems odd thing to do , would you do it in his shoes??
