" 40 YEARS AND ITS WHAT WEVE ALL WAITED FOR "

Sun Jan 26, 2014 8:34 pm

' Its 40 years since we last played at Old Trafford, I was only 8 years old and was not there, not many City fans travelled there that day. As a kid growing up,one of my dreams was to watch Cardiff City play Manchester United at Old Trafford and its happening this Tuesday night and were playing in " BLUE ". Well over 3,000 City fans are travelling and were going to show 72,000 United fans that Cardiff City Fans are the Best in the land. This is what football is all about and what we have waited for.
Ive now managed to visit 341 Grounds :ayatollah:

Can't wait, a Dream come True. " BLUEBIRDS " :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I watched a game there in 2008 just because I thought I would never see Cardiff play there and wanted to experience the stadium on a match day. That game was Solskjaers testimonial how uncanny.

Now I can go there and eatch us play. Cant wait for Tuesday bring it on. :ayatollah:

Waited 13 years myself for the chance to see my team walk out at old Trafford! Cannot wait , got a sneaky feeling we can take points home too, this is our best chance. :ayatollah:

I've driven a Care group there on a coach bout 11 times since 2008.
Have to say as much as I dislike the club, they've got the best disabled facilities I've seen at a football ground. Players often came over and signed stuff for the guys like.
Rooney never did though(f*cking Spudhead).

I was there when we played them in the old 2nd division, i went up with a mate of mine from cwmbran he was a man utd fan and i stood with him in the bottom corner of the stretford end and put up with the misery of seeing us thumped 4-0. By the way, 341 grounds is very impressive.

I went that day Annis with a few of my mates and I remember it being like a scene from the Alamo with just wave after wave of Utd attacks. We lost 4-0 and probably deserved to be beaten more but hopefully it will be closer Tuesday evening.

The stadium wasn't what it is today but still impressive and I think the crowd was about 40k which meant the city fans were pretty much lost in there.

In those days the Utd team had Stepney, Buchan, McIlroy, Greenhof and Macari who back then were big name players and no rugby match would have kept me away.

I really hope we put in a display on Tuesday because back in 1975 I don't think we did.
