Forgot about that......Knowing our legal people they never placed any clauses in his loan deal.

Doesnt need clauses, as its a cup they will have to ask our permission

Don't let him play :ayatollah: That's the norm with loan deals.

They may, depends on we agreed on. He hasn't made any FA Cup appearances this year either, which would have ruled him out.

Loans players are ineligible to play in FA cup by default. Clubs have to give written permission to fa for any of their loan players to play for any club they are loaned to in the fa cup, so doubt we will do that for Maynard to play

He played against Palace , but I can't see us allowing him to play against us we would be stupid to

He played yesterday. Clubs usually put can play in cup matches and can't play against own team and can be recalled.

Can only be recalled if no fee is agreed. So zaha is ours till end of season. Where as Maynard may be recalled as far as I know.

Temporary (loan) Transfers
(i) A player on a temporary (loan) transfer is ineligible to compete in the Challenge Cup Competition unless permission to do so is given by the lending Club in writing and a copy is received by The Association by 12 noon on the Friday prior to the date fixed for playing the Round. Any permissions must clearly state that the player has approval to play in The FA Challenge Cup Competition. A registered Trainee or a player who is registered on a Scholarship for work experience may play for another Club, subject to written permission being given by the Club that he is registered to and provided that such permission is received by The Association by 12 noon on the Friday prior to the date fixed for playing the Round. The Association will not give permission for players on loan or work experience to play against the lending Club.

we had Olofinjana on loan who was allowed to play against Hull but as someone else posted above the FA don't allow players to play against parent clubs in cup competition

That was like a gentlemen's agreement, if my memory serves me right. Suited both clubs. Seems a long time ago, now!
