HARTSON- NOT SURPRISED

Sun Jan 26, 2014 3:25 pm

On 5 live and talking about the problems with Loan System.

Mainly talking about Chelsea having 20 players out on loan.

But John had to mention Cardiff bottom of the league. Bellamy and Zaha.

Didn't mention Johnathan De Guzman though

Its a Swansea trait. Bitter, parochial and a bit thick. From father to son, been like it for years and they always will be like it as they just can't help themselves. Freaks.

He wouldn't know! He's a Celtic fan and wouldn't admit to being a swansea fan if they got relegated. Like most of them!

Caulker and siggurdsson in 1st season and they'd not have survived! They've had de guzman for last 2 seasons. Hypocrites.

Mind you i think that all premier league clubs should not be allowed loan signings. The money in the game is absurd and either you sign the player permanently or not,

Personally think loan signings are good. Look at Zaha, if he impresses for us then he may well be going to the World Cup. He stays at Man Utd and his career is on hold

I agree.

It would stop the big clubs stocking up on talent as players wouldn't want to go there knowing there is little chance of getting any game time.

Teams would only do full transfers with binding buyback agreements after a set time. There's always ways around these things.

The problem is Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal have massive squads and buy up talent left, right and centre. Teams should only be allowed a certain amount of players in their academies and in turn in their under 21s. CCFCs development squad probably has 18-20 players. Same with Swansea. Man Utd have something like 50 players.

Living in Hampshire I see it with the academies. A few years ago Chelsea scouted 3 kids aged 7 in my sons u8 team. They took them to Aldershot every Monday for training along with many others. One by one thry dropped them.

Unfortunately due to the premier league being unwilling to upset the big clubs things wont change.
