Typical jack jumping on the bandwagon which he knows nothing about. When it happens to you, don't expect sympathy from us.

Didn't take my son to Man City ( and that is why I have not commented on the issue) but we were at Bolton yesterday and that put's me in a position to make this statement based on what I saw. It's a Cardiff City topic on a Cardiff City forum.

Maybe you should stick to commenting on the Brum match on YOUR forum

I have been to many away matches, and 99% of the time any hassle from the police or stewards were because the Swans fans were causing trouble.

So you're agreeing that you get that 1% who are just heavy handed and just abusing their authority.

Thankyou.

Don't think he said that stewards are heavy handed or abusing their authority. Appears to me he's saying they just do their jobs.

This post sums it up.

Not in the slightest am I interested about what happens at your matches.

Yesterday I can promise you my 11 yr old son did not cause trouble. You seem to assume about yesterday's stewards behaviour at our match based on your owns fans history. How strange. Maybe pop back to planet swamp and discuss the issue with them.

Oh here he is  yeah you're right, stewards are perfectly within their right to intimidate with their bully boy tactics, singling out fans who can't stand up for themselves. Strange it's happened twice in 2 years up here ey? Apart from Man city last week, we never have any bother from stewards away from home. I'm sure you know something different though, you always do. I await your response.

Ok. A question for you. Why do you think that stewards single out Cardiff City fans for special attention? Could it be because you have a long-standing reputation for causing trouble? I know that you've brought in "family-friendly" initiatives etc., but to lose your reputation will take a lot more than that and a lot more time. Also, the violence at Man City last time out surely goes to prove the point rather than dispel it

So if your son was just standing there, not abusing or gesturing towards other fans , I would agree that the stewards are out of order. Now I've answered your question, will you answer mine?

Slight problem with your statement, what has last year 1980s events got to do with yesterday? They should be managing events on day not events that happened year ago that is there job.

If you believe that is the case then you're naive in the extreme. Why do you think that there is so much policing at the derby matches? When was the last time there was actually any violence at any derby match? Of course the level of stewarding and their perception of you is based on past reputation. What about the violence at Man City? That was hardly in the eighties was it? Or the trouble at Chelsea a few years ago?

Re: You wa**ers

Sun Jan 26, 2014 4:23 pm

I was at the game, it was a few Cardiff fans in the middle trying to get a "red army" chant going, little wonder they received a slap.

Re: You wa**ers

Sun Jan 26, 2014 4:56 pm

Other threads on this subject make interesting reading. Smoke bombs, fans baiting stewards, beer thrown over refreshment staff - and still you claim to be the innocent party. "Animals" is how one Cardiff fan describes some of your fans yesterday. I suppose it's true what they say.......you can take the boys out of Cardiff, but you can't take Cardiff out of the boys

Re: You wa**ers

Surely you can only comment if you were there, the Bolton stewards couldn't wait to throw someone out or have a ruck. Bloody freezing, wish I had been thrown out to get back in the car! lol :ayatollah:
