with some of those players already in and the rest were heavily linked with and look to tie up in the next couple of days,
would you be happy with these signings? do you reckon its a successful transfer window?

Kenwyne Jones is no Yakubu, but the rest of the transfers are good. Especially the Norwegians, which probably cost almost nothing.

Yes very happy.
Marshall
Fabio
Ramis
Caulker
John
Medel
Eikrem
Zaha
Dæhli
Noone
Jones

Fast overlapping fullbacks who have the pace to get back and defend. Depth in that we can bring Bellamy, Turner, Campbell, Mutch and Whittingham off the bench. Pace in behind Jones who is strong. Less pressure on Cornelius as well. Another ball playing defender instead of Turner who at times looks very edgy on the ball.
I'd be very happy.

Mutch is a def starter

Yes well happy, fairplay to Ole he is slowly getting rid of the deadwood and replacing them with players that have quality and potential.

Mutch for eikrem for me, Ekirem needs time from what I seen today but has great potential.

Agreed. He would walk in my Cardiff team.

I'd have Mutch instead of Eikrem but I don't know if Ole will. He might be willing to show faith in Eikrem who he rates really highly. I'd rather Mutch as he's strong and a box to box player.

I wonder what the team will be at UTD, I hope Witts and Gunnar don't start, they are bench players at best, Gunnar was my favourite player last season but just doesn't seem to be up to prem pace.

Happy enough Alough I still wish we would sign Rhodes.

I am all for two overlapping full back, but I would prefer one on each flank rather than two left backs.

John's not ready for the prem. I'd play KTC over him.

Can ktc play on the left?
Sat Jan 25, 2014 7:44 pm
Fabio has mainly been played as a right footed left back.
I would be delighted if we got all those, we would have great flexibility, being able to play just about any formation.
Agree with others about Mutch, in a 4-2-3-1 system, he would be in that central attacking role for me
Sat Jan 25, 2014 8:31 pm
Fabio can play left back and right back with no problem. He's right footed so makes sense to put him right back. He's also better than Theo who in my opinion is overrated and not fast enough to get back a lot of the time. Also goes missing and drifts out of position too much leaving us exposed. Its no coincidence that we've been exploited often down that side.
