Cornelius isn't even League One at the moment. I'd take Deeney, McCormack, Rhodes, Gestede or even Earnshaw over Cornelius. He's crap.

Agree about Cornelius, but this isnt a reason to keep another striker who also isnt good enough, deeneys a good shout though

Where have I said that he is? Just because Cornelius isn't currently cutting it, doesn't mean that Rudy would. He wouldn't be good enough either.

Gestede is a great example of how much a player can improve; he used to get so much stick but now some fans actually think we shouldn't have sold him.

Cornelius is much younger and has more potential than Gestede, so lets just remember that he has years of improvement to make yet.

Truth be told, i never thought he was as good as I said, world class, but I did think he'd come good and be a good asset to the team. Still don't know why we've kept Cornelius and let him go. We'd have been better off keeping Gestede and loaning out Cornelius to the Championship so he can get some game time and toughen up a bit.

He was always OK, doesn't make him a premiership striker.
Just like paying 8m for Cornelius doesn't make him a premium striker.

really.........when he plays and scores regular at the top level you have a point..at the mo,he went for a small fee to a championship club that are not as good as we were last year...........he obviously isnt good enough or he would have cost a better club than Blackburn millions

The reason Cornelius doesn't get a full 90 minutes is because he keeps getting dragged off half time when he starts for being shite and offering nothing.

I'm in agreement with a few in this thread that neither could or would cut it at top level. Rudy was shite, Cornelius lets face it, is the most expensive mistake in our clubs history.

Players need to be playing every week and they need to feel good at a club.
not everyone has super human genetics some players can play occasionally an do well players like gustede need to be fit an playing every week
