West Ham United have reportedly lodged a bid for Leeds United captain Ross McCormack.
The Hammers are in desperate need of firepower up front as they attempt to steer themselves out of the relegation zone in the Premier League table.
According to Sky Sports News, West Ham have made a bid for the 27-year-old, who has netted 17 goals for Leeds in the Championship this season.
The club previously rejected offers from Middlesbrough for the forward during the window last summer.

Poor signing

Big fish in a poor Leeds pond, loved Ross when he was here but would be very surprised if he was to succeed in the Prem.
Big Sam obviously thinks different and it would seem they are planning to use off a big man, Cole/Carroll?

By all accounts, Ross loves it at Leeds. He 'gets' Leeds United. Why would he want to go to West Ham?

Agreed and it looks like a bit of panic buying by Sam,besides he's not as good as Nicky Maynard in my view.

Yes and a bloke who has played a handful of times for a country that isn't even ranked in the top 50 from a very poor league is such a brilliant signing isn't it.
Ban this c**t

Think a bit of passion is what we need and who knows, he may save us.

Based on what? You big up the current signings, yet slate this one? I'd like to know your thinking behind that...

He was captain on the weekend, he's their top player.

The only reason y Ross ain't a City player at this moment in time.......! Dave Jones decided on keeping Chopra instead of Ross.
Jones backed Chopra for yrs but, allowed our real gem in McCormack to go.
We will never know whether Ross would unfold to b the real deal. He scored a hat full in his 1st season, many/most from the spot. He looked as though he possessed that twinkle of specialness though.
Ok, if we bring him back, he may well b out of his depth. I for 1 though, would welcome him home..... Call it unfinished business!

Incredible that people disagree with an opinion and just slate it like mad.
PWO has an opinion and other people other mentioned that he is best at Championship like which is what PWO is getting at.
I think he's better off staying with Leeds and trying to get Play Offs.

Based on the fact he carries a bit of baggage, why don't you think Hull got him when they had the chance when they were in the PL? Top Champ player but feel he wouldn't make the step up. f*cking hell do you want my diary as well

Carries baggage? Like what exactly?

doesn't seem to be bothering his form.

why didn't Hull get him? I don't know, do you? Can you back that up?
That's fine, but why do you feel that these players Ole has brought in would? Suits your agenda? No, no need for diary - can't answer fair questions?

The guy was great for us.
We should have kept him, always worked hard and found the net.
Better player for us than Chopra.

Totally agree. I think he would be a very good signing for West Ham, although they would probably play Carroll/Cole up front and have a 5 man midfield with Downing and Jarvis on the wings so I don't know where McCormack would fit in? McCormack would be great up front with Carroll in a 4-4-2, but that's hardly likely to happen, so it would probably be better for him if he stays with Leeds.
