Cardiff City defender John Brayford joins Sheffield United in loan reunion with Nigel Clough .
Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough says he has pulled off a major coup by signing John Brayford off Premier League Cardiff City
Cardiff City defender John Brayford has joined League One Sheffield United on loan.
The move sees the 26-year-old reunited with the manager who made him a star at Derby County.
Clough and Brayford had since both moved on, the former moving up the M1 to the Blades after his Pride Park sacking and the latter moving to the Bluebirds in a £1.5m summer move.
But after failing to make a single Premier League appearance ahead of Frenchman Kevin Theophile-Catherine, the Stoke born right back has dropped two divisions to the Bramall Lane club.
The Blades boss said: "This is a major coup because he could have easily moved to teams in the division above."
