Neil Lennon has said Joe Ledley is free to talk to other clubs this month as his contract runs out in the summer. CCFC

That statement has a familiar ring to it, eh?

Ledley can go get his next 'pay off' somewhere else IMHO

You are basing ledley on what??? turning up week in, week out in a pub league to thrash the likes of st mirren and inverness and he catches the eye with a stand out performance??? he's not good enough for the premiership.

Don't forget Medel , who is also quite partial to the odd 3 yard sideways/backward pass, great for his passing accuracy stats though!

are you suggesting he passes 3 yards to purposely get his % up? :laughing5:

No I'm not , but it don't half make his stats look good !

dont think hes better than XI we got already, however if we can get him on a free in summer on a pro-contract or next to nothing now then maybe get him in hes betetr than one or two of the dead wood we got.

Always liked Joe. Deep down, he's one of us. But he's been playing in a very poor quality league since 2010, with the occasional CL game thrown in. The PL is much better than the Championship, never mind the SPL. Think he might struggle, at least initially.

Would be a good signing
only thing that worries me is a tad injury prone

No chance Championship player ................

I'd take Joe back. He's upped his game no problem in Champions League games and can add extra depth to our squad. He's also a decent passer so will fit Ole's style of play and would perfectly suit playing alongside either Medel or Eikrem in the middle of the park.

Anyone saying he's not good enough are still living in cloud cuckoo land. Joe has upped his game against the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United when needs be and is slated because he beats St Mirren and Hibernian but Medel gets applause for one game keeping Messi on lock down and beating the likes of Rayo Vallecano and Almeria. Couldn't make it up.

Only our fans could be that daft. Lets face it, the PL has been a bigger step up than most of us imagined and to get someone like Joe in with that experience would be great for us. I'd have rather paid Celtic £8m for Joe than pay it for Cornelius.

On top of the fact he's not good enough for us now, his loyalty and attitude stinks. We spent a small fortune for him to have his hip operation and he repays us by shitting all over us at a time we were on the verge of getting wound up. Cardiff lad? My arse!

Only interested in the money, otherwise he would have went to the premier league not a Micky mouse league

Exactly. I honestly believe Ledley has declined as a footballer since leaving us, simply because the Championship is a higher standard than the SPL. Ledley was talked of in the same bracket as Bale and Ramsey when initially breaking into our team. He showed at a young age, he was very composed on the ball, rarely gave it away, has a fantastic box to box engine and got forward into the box to win penalties and score goals. He could have improved even further if he showed the ambition to play in a top league in a better team against better players. The fact he isn't always considered a starter for Wales shows how he's declined as a footballer playing in a poor SPL standard.
