Nothing manly about slaughtering hundreds of helpless dolphins. Society as a whole needs addressing and very quickly !

You sure thats not the Faroe Islands???

Anyway, it looks brutal and cruel. None of those whales/dolphins go to waste and they feed the village for the whole year ahead.

And kill many of their own people as a result. The flesh is poisonous.

That looks like a Grind , the villagers drive the Pilot Whales into shallow waters then kill them. They then butcher them for food it looks barbaric but that's the only way to kill them . If the whales could walk they would be slaughtered like cows . It's not nice but that's the way they do it .

Yet the same people say nothing when chickens are killed for their KFC and McDonalds, turkeys are killed for their Christmas dinners and cows are killed for their beef steaks. People kill animals to live. Its just the food chain and science. Slaughtering animals in that fashion is only what you'd have to do if the likes of TESCO and ASDA and fast food restaurants didn't provide you with everything you need on a plate. Yes its cruel and doesn't look right because we're more civilised these days in the UK but its life for many others out there.

The only crime and disgrace is that the waters have been polluted in the first place to levels whereby they are increasing the toxicity in dolphin and whale flesh. I wonder who's dumping all of those chemicals in the ocean.....

The Faroe Islands have been a self-governing country within the Danish Realm since 1948. Over the years, the Faroese have taken control of most domestic matters. Areas that remain the responsibility of Denmark include military defence, police, justice, currency and foreign affairs. The Faroe Islands also have representatives in the Nordic Council as members of the Danish delegation.

When I first started putting the tread together I was under the impression it was in Denmark.
Turns out it is the Faroe Islands or Feore Illand .

Sadly you do not win a prize though... :laughing6:

I wouldn't worry about the danes they have viking blood in them. Not really human more like animals with a human brain. Scummy never the less to murder like that.

is it really normal to slaughter millions of cows though?

its the same as hitler saying its ok to kill blacks and jews but its morally wrong to kill a german.
every life on this planet should be equal

Apparently its for the young men to prove there manhood.
I agree to some extent about the food chain thing and what we do to cows pigs sheep and chicken and so on.
But these dolphins like wales are intelligent and have character, so to kill them in such a brutal way to prove your a man is a pathetic thing to do.
These animals are not born to satisfy the food chain.
But what we do with lambs is allso shocking, killing a baby sheep just to have lamb chops seams cruel as feck, but I do eat lamb.

Lions do not go on sprees of killing they do not leave hundreds of dead wildebeest on the prairie.
Man does not kill 1000 chicken and only cook ten. If these people eat what they kill then there
may be some understanding but they do not. they kill the dolphin for sport that cannot justify
