Very Dangerous

Wed Jan 22, 2014 11:18 pm

So now we want to sell/drop many/most of our players who got us promoted. Doh! Yes - there is a big difference between the Championship and the Premiership. However, we gained success through hard work and a great together work ethic. Rip this apart at your peril. We all want to see flowing football but now is also the time to dig in and not so readily disregard Witts Gunner, Kimbo, Cowie, Turner etc. it takes all kinds to make a world. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We're bottom of the premier if you hadn't noticed.

Underperforming players who are hampering are progress. We're keeping a few of the players that got us promoted but there's no room for sentiment here, if they aren't good enough then it's time to go.

We need players who can set the league alight. If we want to stay out of the bottom 5

Yes but we have been very competitive against tough opposition and have to play weaker sides. You just can't change whole systems and personnel in such a short space of time and expect the desired outcomes readily. It can't be Attack attack attack. Get real. You need dome dogs of war.

That's not what is happening, he's using the likes of Noone, Mutch, John & Kimbo etc in his system. If anything we're playing better football, we just need a clinical finisher.

football is about here and now.............the days of having 11 that fans cud name 2 days b4 the game are gone, those were the days you cud build..but clubs had the power to keep players bck then too..........no players demanding moves..no out of contract bosmans

There is a difference between sentiment and shitting on players that were class last year and haven't been given a chance this year.

What is the point in following players careers if you throw them away on a whim. Fans with such fickle attitudes stop players joining clubs, as they know whatever they do, when they leave they'll be disregarded.

We'll be lucky to have Taylor, Gunnar etc if we go down. 100% commitment.

You do realise we are rock bottom and that tactic has not worked  you just got to point and laugh at some people :laughing6:

Before the start of last season I set a prediction that we would finish 10th. In short I didnt think we would end up in the Play Offs never mind go up as Champions. But, as the OP said, it was hard work that got us there and we deserved it.

The players who got us there did however outperform themselves and it is perhaps a little too much to ask them to make that extra step again on top.

The Premiership is a totally different kettle of fish. Sentiment and loyalty will not keep you up and unfortunately those players who took us up may not make the Premiership grade.

As a club we are only as good as our weakest link and, week in week out, we need to be shipping players in and allowing our weakest player to go. This is the only way to guarantee Premiership football.

When your arse is on fire its time to call the Fire Brigade and f**k the sentiment!

This is the real world, not a football card trading game where you just keep collecting them and utilise them when you need to do so. You may be Willy Wonka when it comes to chocolate but you're definitely Silly Plonka when it comes to football discussion.

most people follow clubs not players or managers..
and players do not join clubs because they like the fans. in fact many players have signed for the local rivals of the team they support in spite of the fans...............

this post ranks along with your...cant wait for ole to lose a few games.HAHAHA post...........
