Cornelius

I honestly believe that the boy will come good. Whether it be this year, next year or the year after then so be it. We've got to remeber he's still young and needs to adapt to the league, so just give him a chance I say.

Our club is now totally committed financially to AC for five years,,,,yes that's 5 years. What else have we got, but to give him a chance?

The forlorn hope? Malky was quoted as saying that AC was one for the future, it now begs the question,, exactly what future was that??

Not meaning to sound disrespectful to Andreas Cornelius, but I'm sure we all hope that he comes good, sooner rather than later.

I'm pretty sure that he doe's too!

The Eddie support was tongue in cheek.
and Denmark isnt very big, there are lots of poor players who have had quite a few caps for Wales......
i think most want him to be a great player........why wouldnt people?..

It stinks of panic buy from Malky this one...

£8.5mil plus £45K per week for 5 years!!! No wonder Tan didn't want to trust him with more cash...

Re: Cornelius

We can't afford the luxury of forking out £7.5m on a player that will hopefully come good in a couple of years time. That money should have been spent on players that will keep us in the PL this season.

It's no good to us AC coming good after we have been relegated, and to be honest if he does it will rival Jesus and his turning water into wine miracle

Any chance of getting Jesus in the canton stand to turn the strongbow into 'strongbow' ??? :laughing6:

I hope so for our club but I'm struggling to see it. As for the 45k a week the blame has to be with the board not Malky

Thats not strictly true mate. Moody, as head of recruitment, negotiated the deals, met with the players agents, offered them terms.etc

No wonder he was sacked.

I think many are being way too harsh on Cornelius. He's had very few chances to prove his qualities. He has been injured and needs probably 2-3 weeks before he start getting back at better physical level.
He might never become quite a Messi,Ronaldo,Xavi,Iniesta in technical skills, but he has other qualities that can make him become a top international striker. And even if he at his best performs at a high level allready, watch the link below,he is still only 20 years old and have many many years to still develop much further. Now he also have one of the most intelligent strikers in the world as his manager and mentor. Cheer up guys and be supportive and positive

Give him some time and real support and I believe he will start to surprise us all.He is allready topclass strong header.I can see Eikrem and other good passers finding him inside the 16m yard, and it might be hard for any CBs in premiership to stop Andreas there.
I think maybe Campbell and Cornelius can make a good team up front.Campbell with his pace and hardwork, finding a good connection with Cornelius strong qualities.Wingers giving good passes inside 16m and both Campbell and Cornelius has allready good striker movements and both are good headers.
I have hope in Cornelius and I believe he will soon start to shine  :ayatollah:

Agree, people who are on his back are not helping him or the club

Hes got a touch like a rapist and has been given decent service in the DVP games and has been wasteful. he doesnt look like he has any natural qualities, hes just a big lump.

I really hope he comes good but the early signs are not promising. Lets be fair hes come on as a sub in several games, you would at least to expect to see something, a touch, a run, a strike to bode well for the future and we just havent seen it.

He cant even hit the target when they are practising shots before the game, he just looks very awkward.

"Touch like a rapist"

He has got a poor shot, if you look at the warm ups bellers, noone, Campbell and even witts are banging them in from everywhere, cornflop just skies them everytime.

He cleared the 20 foot high netting behind the goal TWICE last game FFS mun

After his second touch against Man City in the first game, I turned to my mates and said' this boy isn't good enough'. That's just how it happened,i even called him 'boy' as if I were a professional scout. you ask my mates.

Fast forward a few months and I've seen nothing that will change my mind. HOWEVER, NOBODY KNOWS AS HE HASN'T STARTED A SINGLE GAME. APART FROMBARNETT WHO WAS TRACKING HIMYEARS AGO AND TOOK IN 3 LIVE GAMES FOR COPENHAGEN. AT FIRST BARNETT THOUGHT HE WAS A PLAYER OF GREAT POTENTIAL,NOW MONTHS ON WITHOUT HARDLYPPLAYING BARNETT WANTS TO WRECKHIS CAREER WITH ANONLINE SMEAR CAMPAIGN USING THE SAME MODES OPERANDI AS WHEN HE TRIED TO WRECK BLUEBIRDS UNITE. BY TALKING BOLLUX.

It's all or nothing with professionals, 20 foot over the fence is just as bad as straight at the keeper. His 3rd shot may get buried in the top corner.Leave this boy aloneuntil he's played a runoff 12 games.

Mmmmm... No! I'm sure mario can confirm that his 3rd shot does not get buried in the top corner, as I counted him missing 17 in a row at 1 game.

Re: Cornelius

I didnt count exactly but I can confirm in the time I was watching he scored just the once in about eight shots as me and my mates were laughing how ridiculous it was and were actually willing him to score. Whitts was the most accurate, closey followed by Bellers.

Sorry, make that twice, he was last to leave and managed to put one into an empty net.

Ive stopped drinking in there as well. £3.80 for a pint of lager flavoured squash, taking the piss.

Ive snuck cans in there a few times but havent tried lately as the checks are getting beyond thanks to you smoke bomb carrying wankers.
