Reckon he can play alongside Caulker, thoughts?

i don't think our fans like connolly because he's not a big enough name. i thought he was excellent last year and even chipped in with goals. Turner and Caulker are still my number one pairing with Hudson next in line. but its nice to have 4 centrehalves and he's certainly good backup.

Connolly is a decent defender but I doubt he will get much of a look in other then when someone is injured. Shame as he is better on the ball than both Turner and Hudson.

None of our central defenders apart from Caulker are good enough

think i have to agree with this, though i think i would give hudson another chance, starting with the Bolton match.

I agree. At least Hudson is a leader and that can sometimes make up for other deficiencies.

we miss Hudson's leadership agreed but in the prem u need pace and i think that's why he's dropped again. I know people seem to not like Turner these days but i think he's excellent. since ole has been there he's calmed down with the hoofing. the thing is, people will moan about the odd hoof from him now but sometimes u just have to.do it.

Connolly had a few really good games at CB but he also had some shockers, we have to be looking at better.
Connolly should be moved on now.

Malky was good at spinning things, but I don't think he was bullshitting when he said that Turner is a future club captain. This stuff about his passing is overstated. Granted, his 'hoofing' of the ball is a problem, but I can see OGS getting him to cut it out. It's got to be done sometimes, though.
