Most of our fan base is made up of day trippers now and not people who want to fight or want to be associated with that.
We're small fish in a big pond on and off the field these days and its time people realised that.

James, seeing as you were there, can you enlighten the less informed on here exactly (obviously including me) what you saw, who was involved (and by that I mean were Man Citeh fans involved), and what it really amounted to, fella?
Genuinely interested, as from what I saw (on video posted here and elsewhere) it didn't really expand as it once would have, in fairness to others who were in the immediate vicinity
Or have I missed something??![]()

Its the truth though. Back in the day other fans would hate coming here but now we'll be seen as a club where they can come here and we're there for the taking. No fans are going to worry about coming to Cardiff. Bunch of prawn sandwich egg chasers, youngsters who think they're Wales' answer to the Ultras, etc. down the CSS these days and the old timers who actually used to fight cant be bothered any more.
If you go around acting the idiot and picking fights sooner or later you'll get your comeuppance.

According to the Man City forums City fans dragging stewards back and laying into one of them - our fans on the forum being branded animalistic, scum, neanderthals stuck in the past etc. - obviously they saw what went on.
Others saying that Man City fans were being started on by groups of Cardiff fans after the game etc.
Quotes off their forums;
'As bad if not worse than Millwall . Still living in the 70s'
'scum .....only way to describe them.'
'Saw a showsec steward go flying down the steps then loads wading in. Cardiff fans are animals'
'Fighting with city fans at the end of the game as well!'
'no one wants to see what went on for a good 10 minutes in the early stages of the game'
Embarrassing.

Look above. I have taken quotes of Man City fans from their forum. Away fans represent the City when they go away and now we're seen as scum stuck in the 80s again etc. Expect them to try it on when they come down.....thats if we're still in that league that is.

you criticise behaviour of our fans, im not saying your wrong or right about that, I dont know what sparked off the incident in the lower tier, it may have been fans fault it may have been stewards/police. What I do know is that the reaction from some fans around me who only knew there was a problem somewhere had to charge in and get involved for no reason than they want to be hooligans. For that reason I will take the criticism from Man City forums. However if they show disgust for that sort of behaviour wouldnt it be hypocritical to behave like that at our ground? Or is it the fact your talking cow dung.

Too many on here with short memories. Man City laid into scafers at the game down here by Macdonalds or close to there after the game.
Funnily enough JB says nothing about that, nor that city fans got out of cars and off local buses to stop the carnage!!
Some just need to realise trouble is at nearly every premiership game - it's brushed under the carpet more than people think!!

Yes but fans are hypocrites. They will call us scum and still try it on because of the reputation. There'll be others as well who have seen what happened and will think 'well they seem up for it'.
As for your cow dung comment Johnny, you're an ex steward mate so give it a rest FFS. Don't try and belittle people when you did a job thats seen as more worthless than cleaning petrol stations, picking chewing gum off the streets and is less respected than traffic wardens.

saddam, not surprised mate if true but when we have fans acting like that in the stadium it whips up a frenzy. Neither Cardiff or Man City fans acting up is good. It just portrays out club in a negative light. There will be people watching those scenes now and will be more than happy to cut our ticket allocations for future away trips.

No one cares. When Cardiff City's away allocation is cut the only people to blame are those who performed at games like Man City. You cant go dragging stewards around and so on and expect to be treated with respect in the future. Theres plenty of evidence online to show stewards getting man handled.
PS. You live up to your surname more than any other person I have ever come across. You truly are a prat.
