Joe Mason: Transfer target for Bournemouth

The Cherries are believed to have tabled a £1.5million bid for Mason as they look to lure him away from Cardiff.

Sky Sports understands Bournemouth have made a bid for Cardiff City forward Joe Mason.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is looking to bolster his attacking options in this month's transfer window and has targeted a move for Mason.

Howe is thought to be a big fan of Mason and is thought to have tried to sign him in the summer.

Mason only recently returned to Cardiff earlier this month after a successful spell on loan at Bolton Wanderers.

Bolton have expressed an interest in bringing Mason back to the Reebok Stadium, but Bournemouth are hoping to win the race for the 22-year-old.

The Cherries are believed to have tabled a £1.5million bid for Mason as they look to lure him away from Cardiff.

Obviously not in our plans, I'd let him go for that....

£1.5 with Cardiff having first option for but backs

With Mason and NickyMay away, does OGS have a striker lined up?

Hopefully Odemwingie drives him there and decides to stay down there with him.

Gestede gone and Maynard on loan, better off bringing in a striker or two if we are gonna let him go.

I don't know why Mason hasn't been used this season when mixing up the strikers?

I like Campbell but hes not been a goal scoring machine, Odemwingie hasn't been fantastic & Cornelius isn't being given any proper game time - why didn't they give mason a go.

He obviously has the ability to step up - demonstrated when he scored that decent goal against Liverpool in Carling Cup Final

I wouldn't want him to leave the club permanently

1.5m seems fair to me, id hope for a sell on clause though. He has potential I just cant see it being with us.

Hopefully we will bring in a striker but how many prem minutes have Mason, Maynard and Rudy had this season? hardly any so I doubt they would be missed.

We're still interested and will probably make a bid this coming week, Bournemouth can do one after their player and agent made us look like mugs.

Albion are expected to revert their attention to Cardiff's Joe Mason. He will cost around £2 million but will fit in with the Seagulls' wage structure.

Why, he hardly got a look in when we were in the championship.
