PROUD AND EXCITED BLUEBIRD

Sat Jan 18, 2014 6:45 pm

Don't expect much of a reaction to this post simply because I am a positive soul :D

We went to a ground and a squad of players that is that up there with the best in the world.

We conceded four but who expected anything else?

But who thought City would score 2 goals at The Etihad ?

I am proud of the performance that mNy of the players put in today and I also thought that Ole was positive in his tactics and selection.

Craig Noone - Take a bow, he was immense today, full of running and trickery and his goal was a special moment for him and us, to get an equaliser at Man City was a brilliant feeling.

Noones run in the second half, chinking past two Citeh players and a shot that had Hart scrambling to make a save was class.

Jordan Mutch is a big game player for us and somebody we will need to be on top of his game if we are to avoid the drop.

I am sure that City fans will have taken heart from that performance and the players will feel that we can achieve our target this season if we continue to give performances like we did today.

We have gone to a side that look like champions in the making and up to the middle of the second half we were very much in the game.

I was a huge fan of Malky Mackay and everything he achieved for our club but I don't believe Malky would have been as positive as Ole was today. I am not knocking Malky but I must admit I enjoyed the fact we went to the Etihad and had a go.

It's a tall order to stay in this division but whatever happens I am going to continue to go to grounds like today and enjoy this Premier League season. Proud of the fact that our team is up against some of the best tams in Europe and I am loving every minute of it.

Totally agree at last we are having a go at teams and scoring, we might be bottom of the league but it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

No shame in the result but Man City didn't get out of second gear. Played well within themselves.

Well said Carl, I Still think we will stay up, We've been so unlucky in some of our games and it's so tight at the bottom. Next month will be massive, But like you said some real positives from today.

I believe we have a gem on our hand in Jordan Mutch. :ayatollah:

Good post Carl I feel really positive after our performance today. Added bonus of having played the top 2 twice already nobody else near the bottom has :D

i know we say it week in week out, but if we can play like that going forward the lower teams around us will struggle, Muctch and Noone class as always, Campbell worked his socks of again and deserved a goal

Second half display as good as anything I've seen all season. The midfield in the last 20 minutes or so was very good and it made all the difference. Eikrem looks classy and Noone was absolutely suberb! More of the same please!

A bit ingenious considering their prev games at home? Always believe it's other team that makes good team play under par! :P

Like they didn't against you either? We got 5 goals and three points against by far the strongest side in the premiership at the moment... I'm pretty happy with that.

A very good return indeed without question.

Doesn't detract from the fact I thought they barely got out of first gear today though.

I've no issue with others having a different opinion as is their right.

You're probably right, but as I said, I'd say the same about when they played yourself.

I wouldn't particularly disagree with you. We had them on the ropes at home and half time came at a bad time but they stepped it up 2nd half.

I guess my point is that I wouldn't be too optimistic if I were a Cardiff fan on today's evidence due to Citeh playing at about 50%

What I would say is that I saw a marked change in your style. Far less hoof and much more football.
