Only way is up

Some of you need to chill, yes we are 20th on goal difference, there are only 3 points separating 8 places, Cardiff look like they've improved and i think we can take some positives from that game, it was away at Man City you honestly don't think we would have beat them the way they have been playing did you?.
Just a couple more signing to replace the dead weight and i think we will be fine, the only way is up from here

That's the spirit. Be positive, there's 3 points in it.

Feel like shit at the moment. Just hope the team spirit holds out as we've taken a feckin battering over the last month. We desperately need a result and battling qualities from everyone down to the wire.

Alot more positives today than negatives. Not many sides have scored 2 down there, we caused them problems today.

Ok as I see it...

The last seven games we played three of the top teams away and were not disgraced!

Southampton are a very good team, I know the slipped up today but they are very good.

Of the other three where we should've taken nine points we were robbed by the ref for Sunderland, beat West Brom and West Ham is best forgotten but we derserved at least a point IMO.

Man City Lost (were in it for 75 mins)
West Ham Lost (should’ve got more after second half)
Arsenal Lost (In it for 80 plus minutes)
Sunderland Draw (Should’ve won it, robbed by mystery extra time)
Southampton Lost (got battered)
Liverpool (Beat them one nil in second half)
West Brom Won!!!

Three of our most difficult away games done let's move on, sign a couple more and the results will com. We still have to play.. Villa, Norwich, Hull, Fulham, Palace, Stoke a home.

Keep the faith :ayatollah:

Exactly, and there's no shame in losing to a team like man city

People won't see it that way though they only see the loss

Good way of looking at it, I didn't mean my post to sound so negative.

I just meant that hopefully the gap for 3 points taking us 5/6 places doesn't widen too much if we can't get a result from United - that said, if we play like we did today, that's entirely possible. :D

I shall continue to Keep the Faith :) :ayatollah:

Bit of a lurker here but always enjoy reading the posts.

I think we have reasons to be optimistic. We went toe to toe against Arsenal for 89 minutes and have put 2 past man city away when better have faltered more. Ole has only been in post for 5 minutes but already looks to be addressing some of the weaknesses we had i.e. a lack of creativity and attacking intent when in possession.

We do not have to play man city or arsenal again this season. With the exception of chelsea no other side has their resources. even Man U are not the force they were. We have a couple of weeks left of the transfer window and we are actually not playing that badly we just lack the quality to make the effort count more often. We are good enough to get something from every game guys. We took spurs to the death, we took arsenal to the death, we beat man city and scored early against chelsea before a dodgy goal knocked us off our game plan. Utd should have had Rooney sent off but even with him we got a draw. I genuinely think there is fight in this team and Ole has time to make a go of it with them.

If we can get a left winger, center back and a striker we should do fine imo
