Best player today looks class everytime he's on the ball
Sat Jan 18, 2014 4:21 pm
To be honest I think KTC has been the best CCFC player today, two important blocks, a crucial free kick won on a Manchester City break, two great passes to turn defense into offense. But I guess side backs are only visible when they make mistakes as the people on this forum seem to show.
Craig Noone has been great though, just not as impactful as KTC. (That first break where KTC got the free kick would have been a goal for sure)

Fair play, if it's true that Tan was texting Malky telling him to put people like Noone on during games, then Tan clearly knows his shit better than Malky did!

I have to say I could never understand why Malky hardly played Noone.

annis malky would rather sacrifice the flair of noone who can produce moments like today and newcastle for a don cowie who will track back and work a bit harder in defence. all part of the defensive way malky used to set teams up and is why we would have almost certainly been relegated under him.
we dident have the result today but we are attacking with more flair and we kept going to the end and scored late on which bodes well for the next few months.
I saw oles interview on sky and he wasent happy with the slow start and the attitude that we were defeated before we started the game.
not nice to see us bottom of the table but like you i believe under ole we have a legitimate chance of staying up

Because Malky is tactically inept and only likes defensive players. Even in the Championship we drew games we could have won with his influence but Mr Cautious of the Year wanted us to slowly pick away point by point. We rode our luck a hell of a lot in the Championship too.
Malky will struggle at this level because he doesn't want to play expansive football. The game is there to play. Shutting up shop from the off very rarely brings you rewards.

We were dire towards the end of last season and it has not picked up, the odd win yes but that's about it.

Just shows Malky's poor assessment of players. What a shame we had to put up with Cowie instead of Noone. He could have made the difference in several matches this season

Said on Twitter earlier, if he started more we would have won the odd game or two like Stoke.

Seems crazy dosent it. Great that we have a player that can run at players and beat them and your guaranteed a quality cross every time you give him the ball. I think a big club will come in for him in the summer Liverpool? Best player on the pitch atm. Subbing him against Sunderland lost us that game

Don't think a big club will come in for him but he would get a few other clubs looking at him a bit smaller.

Some clueless people in this thread. Blaming Malky for not playing him yet Malky was the manager who signed him in the first place! I wonder how long it will take for Noone's performances to drop and the same people will say "what was Malky thinking signing Noone, he's clearly not good enough for the Premiership! What a waste of money! All Malky's fault!"
Noone was unbelievable today by the way. I hope his form continues but the more he is known, the more full backs will realise he always likes coming inside onto his left from the right. But the Sunderland game showed he can mix it up and go outside his man as well. As long as he keeps mixing it up, he can run most full backs ragged like he did today! Well played Noone!

He also signed Brayford and barely played him too. Malky's transfers were ridiculous.

So the signing of Noone was ridiculous as well then?

I don't think he means all of Malkys signings

70% if them tho.

Malky signed Noone for the championship. He said Noone was to lightweight for the premiership. Shame really because if Malky had given him a chance, Malky could still be here now.

Noone is great at running at defenders something we are lacking in the team. He didnt get much of a chance under Malky for one reason or anotheer but he has been like a new signing lately, with Ole's more attacking game he hopefully will keep improving to.
