Perhaps he'll change it later! Would like to see Daehli and Magnus come on later if we're being battered!

Eikrem, if you went to the west ham game you would see he looks a different class to witts, he can spot a killer pass unlike witts who can't tackle for shit.

Magnus looked good. Good to see Mutch back, we missed him against West Ham

I saw him yeah, my main problem though was where he was playing, he should have been more forward!

Gunnarson, Why??? What does he actually offer us, he'll be running around like a headless chicken...
Not confident AT ALL..
Price me wrong!!!!!

Marshall;
McNaughton, Caulker (C), Turner, Theophile-Catherine;
Whittingham, Medel, Gunnarsson, Mutch, Noone;
Campbell.

I'm happy with that line up. Medal Gunnar and Mutch is a strong group who can battle with whitts and noone for creativity. I'm glad turner is back Hudson was not up to it against west ham and great to see Mcnaughton back. Interesting stat that we have never won a game this season with John at full back, teams have him sussed out.

We may get stuffed but I think this is as good a line up as we could hope for.

I'm sure it's simply a case of him having not been with the squad much, and is an attack-minded transfer, and I don't see Ole setting us up to attack like he did last week, looking at that team selection.

Ultimately, if we end up getting battered, would you want your young new signing's first experience to be on the receiving end of a smashing?

I dont think thats fair on John to be fair as he's had no one good in front of him.

Daehli is probably not fit having come from Molde. Their season finished in November.

Regarding your second point, if we're getting battered, is it not experience for everyone if they go on? See what they can do, they have experience of a loss, plus we suss out if they're enthusiastic enough to go and chase the ball rather than sit there and do nothing cause we're losing

He's not match fit. According to our Norwegian friends their league is currently closed. He probably needs a couple of development games first.

Fair point but the lad is inexperienced and it clear against West Ham big Sam had identified as a weakness and tried to exploit it. I think super Kev is the better choice.

I agree in a game like this we need a more experienced defender, its a shame we never brought in a new LB in the summer

Not against Man City. There's getting battered, and then there's getting battered by Man City, which is 100x worse. Confidence is key to a footballer, and I personally wouldn't want to lose 6/7-0 in my first game for a club.

That said, I'd love to see us give them a real game. :)
