' Zaha storms out of meeting at United... '

Fri Jan 17, 2014 1:57 pm

Friday 17th January 2014.

Trouble at Man United amid suggestions Cardiff City will be unable to get Wilfried Zaha on loan...

Reports today say Zaha stormed out of a meeting with United officials after being told the club would not now be sanctioning a loan move this month.

According to Goal.Com, furious Zaha and his advisor were stunned to hear that United manager David Moyes had vetoed a potential loan move for the winger, with Cardiff leading a chasing pack that also includes Newcastle United, West Brom and Stoke.

Another one to move on from....get some proven players in. Look at Hull, players that have shown they can do it but not overly expensive.

Not that concerned; he's overrated.

Reminded me of the Alan Smith loan situation going back 7-8 years. He refused to go on loan to City from Man U; wonder whatever happened to his career :laughing6:

One of the Championships most over rated players IMO.

Far better players about, with real experience. Something we actually need

I wouldnt say no to Zaha on loan

But i think you are right - we need to find an established LM/LW so we have some strength going down on the wing

Cannot come out of january without making a big signing

Standard response from our fans.

Bum the players to high heaven while they are here or supposed to be coming here.

It goes tits up and the bitterness comes out.

He is easily more talented than nearly all of our players. Saying he is overated in the championship when he won player of the year and made a complete joke out of Mcnaughton when we played them.

Usually agreeing with your posts willywonka but i think its been a fairly mixed response to Zaha rather than jubilation and praise from our fans at the prospect of him coming.

Its true he has potential to be a good player and hes around just above the standard of most of our midfielder - he is still a developing player and what we need is someone with experience to really grasp the challenge and keep us up.

I wouldnt have said no to him coming as I said above - but im not overly upset that its looking like a no go now.

Also when we played palace last year i think SuperKev absolutly bossed it - controlled Zaha really well IMO

Yes he did , Zaha ended up being subbed off as he was totally ineffective in the game

Sounds like a bit of a drama queen. He chose to sign for United from Palace and now he's crying because he's not playing first team football, what a tool.

put yourself in his shoes, doesnt get any game time when hes the next up and coming british talent, and i mean no game time.
and then they wont allow him a loan move for first team football.

i wouldn't be best pleased either

If all he cared about what short-term first team football then he wouldn't have joined United. I'm not saying he made the wrong decision, because it's a good long-term decision if he knows he can be up there with the best, but to storm out of a meeting because his manager won't send him out on loan is ridiculous.

Putting him on the bench 24/7 but not giving him a good chance of a run out is ridiculous. If I was being put on the bench all the time and not given a run out, I would want answers.

He should go out on loan, but he should've expected to be a bench warmer for quite a while.

Unprofessional of him to storm out of a meeting, wrong attitude. He is better off trying to fight his corner and explain why he wants to go out on loan.

He'd be fourth choice as winger for me behind Nani, Januzaj and Valencia. Young is very inconsistent and is now hardly the player I rated and raved about at Watford and knew would go on to big things. I said to my old man he'd end up at a big club back then but it seems to have gone to his head with all this attitude and diving. I wouldn't stand for it myself and he never used to do it. He used to be a great player. Madness really but thats football for you.

Manchester United's Wilfried Zaha mysteriously dropped by the RESERVES after being picked in team -

Fresh misery for winger signed a year ago by Alex Ferguson who new boss David Moyes doesn't select yet seems in no hurry to send out on loan either

Wilfried Zaha’s Manchester United career hit a new low on Monday night when he was left on the bench - for the Old Trafford giants' reserve side.

The winger, a £15million signing by then-boss Alex Ferguson a year ago who has not started a single match in the Premier League under successor David Moyes, was picked in the team to face Middlesbrough but then mysteriously dropped to sub after the warm-up.

Zaha had practised properly, but also signed autographs before the game.

By kick-off, just a few minutes later, the 21-year-old England international and former Crystal Palace star was on the sidelines.

Zaha, who wants to go on loan and has been strongly linked with a move to Cardiff for the rest of the season, hoped to impress his bosses and other clubs’ scouts.

He eventually came on as a sub for the last half-hour.

More positive news down his end/United, hopefully this rumour can be put to bed soon.
